The Norwegians say we'll have mostly sunny days Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with cold temps but no snow. Their app, YR, is incredibly accurate and worth a look if you haven't seen it.

A Bellinghamster here. 5° this morning and now that it's 11° I'm heading to Costco where I expect to have it virtually to myself with the Northeast winds blowing 40 across that parking lot. Will see how the heater performs in strength and energy consumption. I usually rely on just the heated seat and steering wheel in moderately cool temperatures.
Funny story about the ownership of my CT. Like the baseball catchers Joe Garagiola and Yogi Berra who grew up on the same block in St Louis. Joe would quip that he was not that great of a catcher cuz he wasn't even the best catcher on his own block. Well the only other CT in Bellingham that I know of resides across the street from me. We're 30+ square miles. I ordered mine two years ago and took delivery 6 months ago. They bought the initial CT demo a year after I ordered. Neither of us knew about the others model intentions. I effectively don't have the only CT in sight of my home.

Table mountain in view on hwy 542 nearly to Artist Point(5100 ft) between Mt Shuksan and Mt Baker. The Porsche travel experience arranged two tours there this summer. Saw them on the highway one day. Of anywhere in the nation this was one of the spots they aimed for. Lotsa car and bike clubs do tours to this destination. We should too! I go hiking or skiing up there in season.

Got my MY24 GTS after Thanksgiving!!! Been a thrill to drive as my daily! Bought mine from Porsche Tacoma after cancelling my order at Bellevue for the same reason as others, ADM and entitled sales team.

Knock on wood, my heater continues to work. I'd really like to understand the failure mode, as so far it seems pretty random. I definitely put mine through plenty of deep freezes. Here’s the most recent example (earlier tonight).

It's weird how Porsche is holding the failure mode information so close to their vest. Is it possible that they have no clue what the failure mode is, that they just swap and bill the heater supplier?

With the temperature drops this weekend, I decided to try an experiment. I enabled Porsche data collection, including personal data, just for the cold days. The car spent the evening and most of the night parked outside in Kirkland at 10F. My very far fetched theory is that if I only enable data collection on very cold days, that will show up on Porsche servers as car driven in cold temperatures close to 100% of the time (for which I agreed to data collection) and perhaps land my Taycan on the pre-emptive recall list.?

I thought that the cause of failure for the HV heater was bad solder joints. Wasn’t that in the initial recall information?
