I’m on the verge of buying a set of these 22” Rotiform FRA wheels for my Turbo S.

Porsche Taycan Quick wheel purchase sanity check please? IMG_0544

They aren’t cheap so I was hoping knowledgable members could advise on a couple of concerns I have before pressing GO!

I’m going for a staggered fitment so 22x10 fronts and 22x12 rears. I‘m guessing I’ll need 265/30R22 tyres for the front and 315/25R22 for the rear? It seems difficult to get both sizes from one tyre manufacturer so am I missing something?

I’m also concerned about tyre pressure monitoring. Should I / can I swap the TPMS sensors over from my current mission-e wheels to the new Rotiform ones or do people usually buy a second set of sensors and fit them?

Are there any other wheel swap gotchas I may have missed?

Grateful for any advice forthcoming!

More like the original concept wheels, right? On a much lower spec car (Honda Fit) I swapped the TPMS sensors into the new wheels and had no issues whatsoever.

I swapped the TPMS sensors when I changed to mission e rims. No issues at all!

Go for what makes you happy!

Ooh there goes your range!

I would check with Porsche as to the suitability and suspect it wont be a positive outcome. I doubt also if TPMS will support this tyre and rim size.

Personally I wouldn't.

Hankook and continental have this tyres in stock.
I will go for the Hankooks in 22 Inch with Rotiform wheels next month.
265 in front and 305 back, I think Hankook also have the 315 but not sure.

TPMS sensors are not specific to any wheel or tyre size, it doesn’t matter what wheel you fit to a car the TPMS sensor will 100% fit and work - I can’t see why you would think it wouldn’t? Do you have any knowledge on wheels/tyres/tpms sensors?

I think these wheels are stunning and suit the Taycan much better than any other aftermarket wheels I have seen on this forum?

One of the main problems with forums is that people ask questions and people with very limited knowledge answer as if they have any knowledge in the field they are discussing

Not the exact sizes you have listed, but I have attached some screen shots of 265/30/22 and 315/30/22 with premium tyre options available from Camskill tyres.

There are loads of tyre calculator websites where you can compare sizes and rolling radius’s etc

Thanks for all the replies folks. I’ve now had direct communication from Rotiform and they are recommending tyre dimensions of:

Front 285/30R22
Rear 335/25R22

for their FRA wheels.

Looks like I can get the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in those tyre sizes so we’re all good. Will order the wheels tomorrow. Time to see how well Porsche’s air suspension copes with an 84mm sidewall

Would love to see the results of the swap! I was thinking about getting 22s at some point and also found the same tire sizes with my research.
