what drives me crazy is that 2 days ago at the dealer, they activated the remote parking function with 3 other iPhones (!) without a glitch. using my own account, credentials etc. I tried a few seconds after and no f way. my app was failing no matter what. we waited 5 mins, they tried again and for them it was working perfectly. they did not know what to say..

how's this even possible and not crazy? I'd love to get the advice from @tigerbalm who, I remember, had been experimenting with can bus...

my feeling (just a feeling) is that the "old" version of myporsche app (before the 10.0) planted some configuration elements/settings (whatever those could be) related to the BT connection to the car, hidden somewhere in the iPhone, which enabled the remote parking function - and it worked back then.

This "configuration" has NOT been updated by the 10.0 new porsche app, even after a clean install. So when one launches the new myporsche app from a phone which was previously used to execute remote parking, it fails because it keeps trying to use the "old configuration". If one launches the new myporsche app from a phone which has never been used before for remote parking, then it works.

is there a way to "deep-delete" all the configuration items related to a specific app? I m afraid that just deleting the app itself and reinstalling it will not do it

All of our phones are not broken. This was working for everyone before the v10 app update and now most of us can't get it to work anymore. This is absolutely a Porsche software issue. Here's a video of what the problem looks like from the app. I stopped the video at 40 seconds because that screen just hangs for a long time. I have no idea if it ever throws an error because I don't care to wait that long.

Similar here, tried all the tips mentioned above to no avail. Using a 15 Pro Max which always worked previously. Going to try the kids' phones this evening to see if they work.
Teenagers iPhones don’t work either, exactly the same issue

I'm going crazy with this:
As for most of you remote parking has NOT been working for me since the v10 update on my (personal) iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS17.x (currently 17.4).
After I had read above that it was working with several of the dealer's iPhones I tried the following:
I installed the MyPorsche app on my corporate iPhone 13 (regular; approx half year old), also running iOS17.4. At first, it would not work as it said it is not connected to the car via BT at all. After connecting it on purpose on the "devices" module in PCM I successfully activated the remote parking function!!!!
I could hardly believe it...

I'm not an IT guy. But might it have to do with the fact that the later smartphones/iPhones run on a more advanced BT protocol than the older models (like my iPhone 13)? And that they messed this up with v10?

Maybe we should list smartphone models and OS versions and see if there is a pattern for those for whom it does not work vs. the people who have no problem at all?

Porsche should admit they have a software issue and fix the problem. But..... I have an iPhone 15 Pro running 17.3.1

it must be more evil than this.
-2 phones with iOS 17.4 , one fails , another works (model age is irrelevant)
- my iPhone 14 Pro Max was activating the remote parking just fine, until Porsche rolled out that pos of v10

so it cannot be iOS dependent, nor can it depend on how old the model is. there seems to be a “pattern” (maybe): regardless of the phone model, if the phone was previously running the myPorsche app and updated to v.10 remote parking has stopped working. If the same handset had never received a previous installation of the myporsche app and just had the v10 downloaded, then it might work .

whats the difference from a BT perspective between an iPhone which just git updated to myporsche v10 from an older version and one iPhone which only downloaded the v10 straight away ?

unsurprisingly, Porsche devs have screwed up the bt connection and they are not even aware of that (my dealer, which sits in the same building of Porsche Switzerland HQ told me their IT system shows no issue with the Taycan remote parking, they also reached out to the german colleagues and were told all is working ?)

I may bite the bullet and do a full phone reset/wipe later this evening. Even though this is a royal PIA.
