btw: "old" Porsche Connect-App is allowed to do background refreshs but is not eating so much battery.

To give yourself more data to go on (i.e. is it background or not).

1. Go to Settings -> Battery.
2. Click the "Last 10 Days" tab.
3. Scroll down to the table and "Show Activity" on the top right of the table.. It will add info that lets you know the amount of time it spent on screen and in background from a energy usage perspective.

Saw this too essentially by accident - it would be nice if the app itself notified you of an available update as opposed to having to randomly check for them on the App store - or maybe there is a setting I have not toggled on?
If you go to the App Store settings you can enable automatic downloads of App Updates. This will keep your apps up to date without you doing anything.
