30k off a ‘24 base or used 4S?

Been doing a bit of research lately and have narrowed down the search.

Curious to get your thoughts on a ‘24 RWD with 30k off (incentives + discount) or a ’21 4S fully loaded. The RWD will come to about 80k from 110k (will have to lease) or a loaded ‘21 4S for 75k with a year left on factory warranty. With the 4S i will likely have to get tires and purchase extended warranty. So price-wise its almost pretty similar.

Both are volcano gray on black. Things that the RWD doesn’t have compared to the 4S:
Missing:

• Pano
• PDLS
• LCA
• Ambient Lighting
• Ionizer
• Storage Package
• Electric sound

Must have options:
Sport Chrono
PB+

I think your decision depends a lot on if you want the extra performance of the 4S, otherwise I would be inclined to say the Rwd is better because of the massive incentives to sell them before MY2025 start shipping.

Given what is in your current garage, I would go with the RWD if it is primarily for commuting.

Agree. Newer model, no additional costs and you have a beautiful, comfortable commuter. Assuming that you do not need the 4wd to cope with snow / icy conditions in the Bay Area. You have a wonderful sports car in the GT3 so do not need the maximum thrills from the Taycan. I had a 20 Turbo, which I replaced with a 23 GTS and have now gone back to a 911 GTS combined with a mini-electric for local commuting.

Definitely the RWD if you are just commuting. I leased a 2020 Turbo and then went with a Polestar P2 which is plenty. If the Taycan is your only car, then I would look at a newer GTS.

RWD, depression won’t be as bad.

It’s new, you’ll have more range and power is plenty for a daily

How long would you plan to keep the car? If its less than 4 years, you might as well get the RWD and lease it.

I just went through a similar debate. I was looking at a 2022 4s and a 2023 rwd. Both cpo’s, with less than 10k miles and priced about the same. I ultimately chose the 4s. My previous car was a Mustang Mach E and I couldn’t imagine getting a Porsche slower than my Mach E. And it was only a premium, not the GT.

If I were you, I will definitely go with MY24 car. Its new and well covered under warranty. MY21 is too old IMO and those early year Taycan's had issues as well that you would at least expect were addressed by MY24. And you cannot beat that new car smell which is priceless.
