Title summarizes what is wrong, the MyPorsche app won't communicate with the Taycan.
I noticed the center display near the time has a slash out through the LTE symbol. I called
PCNA and was advised I'd have to perform a factory reset with no guarantee it will restore
connectivity. She said only the dealer can input the credentials to get it back, once a reset
has been performed.

My understanding is that a reset restores the car back to factory, wiping out any personalization
we did. My question is, are our settings restored when we log in after the reset or by the key FOB
which I was told, also stores personalizations.

Why would the login credentials for a service I pay for be a secret Porsche doesn't share?
Forcing me to go to a dealer 30 minutes away and spend an hour waiting all because they don't
want me to know my own LTE credentials seems contrary to a positive ownership experience.

I'm just hoping the wasted time to the dealer is rewarded by them being able to save and restore
our personal settings in the event the login and/or FOB don't.

I'm also wondering why it lost connection to begin with and if it will likely happen again and again and again...

A link to post with links to information and options for the no LTE/datacomm situation.
I would not start with factory reset, or dealer visit.
Often datacomm service restores on its own after waiting a couple of days.

I've been reading several threads on this topic. The last time my app was able to communicate with the car was April 17th. It's driven nearly every day so plenty of time outside the garage to regain connectivity. It is worth noting, the month of Innodrive I paid for but cancelled and should have been deactivated from the car on May 4th is still active. It seems the loss of LTE also means Porsche can't tell the car to disable Innodrive.

Why is the dealer visit not advised? Surely they can resolve it. If I wasn't able to book an appointment for Monday, I'd delve deeper into it but otherwise I'd waste an equal amount of time futzing around with it myself vs taking it to Porsche.

This LTE issue happened to me about two years ago. Reset at dealer fixed it and it has not returned.

For my car they did a reset to fix it but I didn’t loose any settings.

I take it in tomorrow, hopefully they can restore LTE without wiping personal settings.

They will sort it. Mine has been lost on a couple of occasions. One time I did the reset as advised by Porsche - bad mistake. I was then stuck without my settings for 6 weeks before I could get my dealer to sort it. More recently it came back after 9 days. You shouldn’t lose any settings - I think they just reset the relevant bit and it reboots.

So I took the Taycan in, they seemed familiar with the problem but less so with a solution. After 2 hours they couldn't restore the LTE but due to an open heater recall, suggested I come back, drop the car off as opposed to waiting and they will look into it further.

Towards the end, they looked at my app settings to see if I had privacy sharing on or off though that should not have an impact.

The service advisor did say on the back end system, Porsche doesn't show an active paid sub though I could show him where in my app and under invoices, I clearly paid the $319.

Besides, it was working for a time....perhaps as part of the CPO? and Porsche's left hand isn't communicating with the right? so activations doesn't talk to accounting?

I dunno.
