Title summarizes what is wrong, the MyPorsche app won't communicate with the Taycan.
I noticed the center display near the time has a slash out through the LTE symbol. I called
PCNA and was advised I'd have to perform a factory reset with no guarantee it will restore
connectivity. She said only the dealer can input the credentials to get it back, once a reset
has been performed.
My understanding is that a reset restores the car back to factory, wiping out any personalization
we did. My question is, are our settings restored when we log in after the reset or by the key FOB
which I was told, also stores personalizations.
Why would the login credentials for a service I pay for be a secret Porsche doesn't share?
Forcing me to go to a dealer 30 minutes away and spend an hour waiting all because they don't
want me to know my own LTE credentials seems contrary to a positive ownership experience.
I'm just hoping the wasted time to the dealer is rewarded by them being able to save and restore
our personal settings in the event the login and/or FOB don't.
I'm also wondering why it lost connection to begin with and if it will likely happen again and again and again...
