I mean, seeing as how 8-10 year old model S with 500.000 miles + still have 70-78% battery, 200.000 miles with 85-88% doesn't sound far fetched.

From looking at the other thread, Taycan has the same level of degradation.

So why are you waiting? Are you planning to buy a tesla? Are you expecting porsche to buy tesla's FSD, since porsche's much worse?

What exactly are you implying with your snarky useless comments?

Tesla has done a study, that has shown that battery last longer than previously thought. Or better said, that confirms their optimistic estimations from 2012.

Porsche come to the same conclusion for the taycan facelift, after analyzing data from all the j1 taycans on the road, and realized that betteries could very well be pushed harder.

Recent studies also show that fast charging doesn't degrade batteries in a signifiant way - again, something Porsche also agreed with when releasing the facelift, if temperatures are correctly managed; and what actually damages the batteries is simply holding the charge for long, aka don't keep your car topped up and the battery will be just fine.

I have 14% degradation after almost 230.000 km in a model S, so I don’t doubt their claim.
My taycan has 25.000 km after two years. I’m not worried about degradation at all.
