Hi , I have had a problem with my window on my CT since I bought it. There are vertical scratches on the windows as if something is trapped it the seals and scratching them . I have the front window replaced but it’s happening again .Has anyone else got the same problem and is there a solution ? I think this should be a recall issue if the seals are holding crit .Thanks

I have a 22 model and last year I noticed two vertical marks on the rear passenger/driver windows (on the tint). I took it to the dealer and they said it was something that scratched it by a passenget (i.e. seatbelt or somethinG). I said its in the same exact spot on both sides.... But they didn't want to accept it.

It wasn't too visible, but more of an annoyance on a six figure car.

It is a common issue with frameless windows. Although I haven't noticed it on my Taycan, my Audi had several light vertical scratches on the tint from rolling the window up or down. Everyone on that forum said it was pretty much an unavoidable result of the window design.

Maybe someone on here has a solution.

Unfortunately, this is a Porsche thing. I had it on my Panamera and have a very slight trace on my Taycan. Not new but may not show up on all cars until year’s later.

Had it on my 4S from new but not an issue yet on my GTS. Front windscreen has a fine scratch due to the wiper blades.noticible in the sun from the inside only.

Will not be the subject of a recall.

I have it on both front side windows. Caused by tiny grit particles trapped in the window seal. It does annoy me but Porsche will not accept responsibility for that. I've never had this issue with any other vehicle in 40 years of driving.

Porsche will now asses this and replace windows, seals and regulator.
You might need to push them if they refuse.

No scratches mentioned, only issues with operating it and door seals.

I've had thin scratches on my windshield also, but nothing out of the ordinary in my experience. Changed it recently, and the new windshield is definitely an improved version, as despite part number being the same, there are some differences in the size of the black "defrosting edge" or however it is called, and also the lack tinting on the upper side (no longer offered by porsche). So hopefully this updated part comes with better scratch resistance also.
