I just bought a 2022 Taycan 4 Cross Turismo Turbo S with 48k km and the battery capacity is 89%.

What do you think about this battery degradation?

I will receive the car in 1 month

All the best

I think its fine, you only lose 10-15km of range. The range sucks when you drive hard anyway.
My Turbo SoH is also 89% max range still 400km on B roads with relaxed driving.

Mine is same milage, same SoH. Batteries loose capacity rapidly when new and then levels off. Mine dropped 10% in the first 6m and have now stayed within 1% of that value since (almost 1 year)

According to this stat, 89% with 48k km is about 3% below average.

Well, I don't know what to think
The SoH that you have shown in the first post, is reading the same data as we have in other threads. The app is available in the AppStore.

I also think you will be fine with this result. From the value in the graph, that is my car, I am not to worried either.
Remember that the graph only shows an average value without showing the normal spread of values.
’You do not seem to have gotten any information about how many launches the car has done, the percentage of HPC charging vs AC charging. If the car is in Portugal, it would be in a hot climate as well.
You have 8 years of battery warranty from new and if you by it from a Porsche dealer, you will also have a general warranty plus that you can extend such a warranty to cover other items (on top of battery) such as chargers, HV control units etc.

Even if the SoH had shown 95%, the battery could fail tomorrow in worst case. Nobody can really tell.

If everything else is to your liking and the car feels right, I would not let a few percentage points stop me.

Regarding the warranty, I have a question. The car I'm going to buy is a used car imported from Belgium/Luxembourg, ex leasing from Arval.

Do you know if Porsche offers an extended warranty for an imported used car? The factory warranty (2 years) ends at the beginning of October and taking into account the Taycan's reliability problems, I wanted to extend the warranty.

Thanks

Am at 89% SoH with 22k KM and 13 months of use. I’m in the hot country though so that is to be expected.

In GB you can purchase a Porsche warranty at any point. In some circumtances that’s subject to a 111 point check. Portugal may differ. This may help.

I do not know the situation in Portugal, but I have done similar extensions of the warranty for a car first imported to the UK and then later into France. There were no problems with that. And Portugal is in the EU. Only one way to find out for sure, is to ask the local Porsche dealer. I am sure they will be happy to sell an extended warranty.

Alternatively, do you buy the car from a Porsche dealer before importing. He may well have a CPO warranty included. Or you could take out an extended warranty in Belgium/Lux? If you take that for 3 years you should be covered. And if I remember correctly you will not need to pay for 111 point inspection either. The Porsche extended warranty for sure is valid across Europe. Ask me how I know!

My big concern is that the car was not purchased at a Porsche dealership but through an auction (I should have explained this immediately) and it is an ex lease car.

If it were from a Porsche dealership there would be no problem getting a warranty even if it was imported.

How things work here in Portugal (badly) I'm worried about getting a warranty.

Can anyone tell me if a Taycan from October 2022 still has a warranty for another year?

I think that in the EU the vehicle warranty is mandatory for 3 years but I'm not sure.

No, it's 2 years "Werksgarantie". Afterwards Porsche Approved kicks in.
