Hopefully this afternoon after pre-delivery inspection, it will be passed on to me, board a covered transport and off to be ceramic coated. Hopefully by Friday I can start using it.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get my car, it started throwing a bad code in conjunction with the key after the pre-delivery inspection drive ??. They want it to sit all night to “reset” itself.

Congrats on the new car! It's an awesome machine to drive. Hopefully the reset will work. For J1 Taycans by the way, it doesn't take all night, an hour or so while locked and key out of range has been sufficient for me, except for cloud related issues (like the app thinking the car is in privacy mode even though the car says it's not) which take many hours to clear (I don't have a way to reset Porsche cloud, at least no legal way).

Given the years of Taycan software history, I don't understand why 2025 Taycans (or even later J1 Taycans) don't come with a master switch under the hood which disconnects all power from all electronics in the car - I'm sure you've heard the famous IT phrase "did you turn it OFF and ON again yet?".

I actually considered adding one of those to my Taycan (not joking). It would of course have to be a solid, secure switch which doesn't accidentally disconnect itself, but I'm sure there are some out there, plus you could make so that when the hood is closed, it physically cannot be flipped OFF.

Originally, I had ordered Carmine Red in late March, as Guards Red was originally only available as PTS+. The delivery window was early October. When I changed to PTS Guards Red in June, the delivery date was changed to late August. However there were delays, my car started being built early September and was finished late October.

interesting, so they did prioritize PTS orders at the factory, 7 months sounds pretty reasonable with the changes and delays.
look forward to your next road trip with the new TTS, curious to see how much of a difference (or is it a game changer) it brings with improved range at max charging speed / lowered battery temp.

I hope so, or else the upgrade will feel like an exercise in futility… as the price hike was almost as big as the depreciation in this last year. Although the new car is certainly beautiful, at least in my subjective opinion ?

did you specifically want a sport turismo with the new model(from your sedan)? a fully specced tts is almost at a price of turbo gt,
I personally *still* prefer the jl1 look, but of course to each his own,

Also HUD, and a few other additions through the years to the option list, as well as Guards Red just made me want the new one with increased power and fatter charging curve ! My original intention was to keep my first until the next generation was released. However, my instinct told me that the Taycan platform may be replaced by a shared platform with several of VAG nameplates and far from the Porsche engineering balance the Taycan has, at least in my eyes.
