It's just another app for the PCM, they could easily bring it. If they had OTA, it would only cost them testing it on J1 cars, and given no car integration, it would be relatively inexpensive. However, if they have to pay a dealer to take the car in, give customer a loaner for a day, spend x hours updating, then it makes no fiscal sense for Porsche to deploy it. Maybe, just maybe, if this is part of another recall they have to pay dealers to apply to the PCM anyways - similar to PSM update which came with brake lines recall, it was not available separately (and no, you can't tell me new PSM software requires new brake lines).They bring it to the 911 which lacks that screen and option. I have hopes it will come to us peasants with the j1. My passenger display already is able to play video from USB, and it pauses nicely when I start driving
