yes for J1.1 Taycan (pre-2025 MY Taycan's) that is clearly the case - Taycan has no battery SOC limit for FastDC Charging…but…Ok thanks, good to know! Didn't realize that timers/profiles didn't apply to DC charging. Yes, I do keep an eye on the 30 min mark. But if just left, even if direct charge isn't selected, DC charging will just go all the way to 100%?
- I'm not so sure J1.2 (MY 2025 Taycan's and later) is the same - can someone with a Taycan J1.2 confirm the new software still does not allow battery SOC limits for FastDC charging?
- future software updates may add this limit to Taycan
- sometime EA limits certain charging sites to 85% SOC - and will begin idle fees at the 85% mark - this is to address highly congested sites and people sitting in the stall for hours to get from 80% to 100%
- I'm looking at you Chevy Bolt owner…
- Macan EV's _DO_ have a battery SOC limits for FastDC charging - and it's respected - on my road trip home from PECATL I typically charged to 90% SOC and once the limit was hit the charging session was stopped and I unplugged.
