Can you help me choose between the following Taycans 4S

Taycan 1

https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB...s-1-rear-seat&comfort-assistance=acc-incl-pas

Taycan 2

https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB...nterior-color-groups=int-grey&order=price_asc

They are same price. Main difference is Taycan 2 have 46,000 miles but have Head-Up display, Ionizer and Home link and registration date is May 2021 while Taycan 1 has 26,000 miles and is November 2020.

Any idea how to know if they have 150 DC chrager booster?

Thanks in advance.??

From what everyone has said…get the one you can extend the warranty with. Likely #2. That’s what I did. Got a May 21 also since I could extend the warranty. Though you can get it on an expired one with an inspection from what I’ve read. If you can get the 26k one with a warranty then might be the way to go. I’ve had mine a week. lol It’s beautiful!

Both main dealer cars, so warranty extension in the UK should not be a problem. They'll come with 2yrs and then you go from there.

Can't recall if Nov 2020 would mean MY21. I think it does. Check if the mirror/window buttons are shiny or matt. Former is MY20. I think other differences between MY20 and MY21 are wireless Android Auto/CarPlay, but not 100% sure.

How many miles will you do a year? You're effectively trading 20k miles for 6mths....overall battery warranty wise logically you'd take the lower miles/older car. Unless you're doing low mileage.

HUD is a nice to have IMO. I only use it on long journeys on A/M roads. It's a distraction on twisties. Binnacle looks a lot nicer without.

As you note, rest of the spec is all very similar.

Seats don't look very clean on the one with real photos... But then they are white.

There are a couple of key differences not least the mileage difference which is 20K and not 46K.

Missing 400V 150kW DC booster- many public EVSEs are 400v and without this option you will be limited to 50kW DC charging at 150 - 175 kW EVSEs.

One has the Porsche Mobile Charger Connect (22kW AC capable) - worth having.

HUD was meh on J1.1.

Both are same MY - MY21 (M in VIN confirms) which is good.

2yr warranty is listred as extra and could be pricey.

Conversely....

Never used 400v charging or been somewhere where an 800v/350kw wasn't available. And you always use those if you can.

22kw EVSE only of use if you have 3 phase power. Not common in the UK.

Approved Used cars come with 2yrs warranty included.

RE21GHK shows "On-Board DC-Charger with 150 kW" in the spec under "E-Mobility"; FG70XLP does not.

Can it be there and they didn't click it? I found that happening in some OPC.

Then I have to double check if that is in the Taycan 1 or not, as it seems critical specially on long journeys.

What is the 3 phase power? Seems like I'm getting a useless feature?

IME it's not critical. But may depend on where you think you will end up charging your car in public.

Everywhere I've been that has Tesla chargers also has 350kw 800v ones. And those are always my go to.

If you don't know what 3ph power is, you don't need the charger for it ?

I think if you want to use them at full speed you do. But believe you can still use them at lower speed if you don't have it - not entirely sure as, as noted, I've never had any need to use them ?

I typically use GridServe or Ionity - have found them to be quick, reliable and cheap (relative to others). Though for my only frequent longer destinations, they have chargers themselves now. So the amount I use public ones at all is minimal.

Quite a few chargers in shopping car parks are 3 phase and capable of 22kW. In some places this would be extremely useful but I'm tight and it was not an option worth the money for my use, though it was mildly irritating not to be able to benefit from it whilst it was free in a local car park but you have to pay more than at home now so no longer something I'd use.

So to make it simple for me, how long would a car without On-Board DC-Charger with 150 kW take to charge from 0-80%??
And would that be different if I use a tesla charger?
