Definitely only the preliminary software to get ready for main software that has been put forward - see latest letter from Porsche which confirms what Tonbridge Porsche told me at my two year service.

So what is the advice below? ?

That's a different letter to what I got - different campaign number.

I just handed over my MY23 for the 2 years service and recalls. The actual software is NOT ready, the OTA (wrw1) and the update in the shop are preparations. They will skip it on mine since I asked to do everything when Porsche had everything ready. I plannend multiple road trips and they should beta test on test vehicles instead of mine.
Odd given that it was installed at my 2 year service last week.

Would be nice to get Mr Cowell’s email address and enquire why no courtesy cars offered for the monitoring period.

Thank you for posting Porsche letter confirming that the diagnostic software remedy for ARB6 has been delayed until 2nd half 2025.

Hello and please check this short video:

Excuse me for speaking in Croatian, I made the video for local Porsche dealer.

The car has been in for ARB6 check in late February and all software updates and recalls have been done. Charging parameters should be self explanatory (Direct charging is off, Timer is off and set to 80%, Minimum charge is 40%). There is no reason for car to be charging at the time the video is filmed. But it went to 85% and would charge to 100% unless I unplug the charger. So, if Porsche is unable to offer bug free charging software even 5+ years Taycan is out, how can we trust the "smoke alarm" software in the future?

If you want it to stop at the set amount you have to have Optimised Charging selected - it will then stop correctly. This has been documented many times.

Thank you. Enabling Optimised Charging disables Preferred Charging Times, which is essential in my case — I charge during the day when solar power is available, so the energy goes directly to the car. However, I would prefer not to have to stand by the car to unplug the cable once the target charge is reached. I think this is a bug, there is no active timer and charge is well past minimum.

I had timer active (daily, 80% each morning at 8:00), but I found it deactivated. I am the only person with access to the car and why it deactivated itself is a mystery.

In that case you have to use Timers to achieve what you require. If you do a search it is shown how they can be used to achieve this.

Thanks, I get it now. It is the deactivated timer that made the car charge (deactivated by itself, but ok). Sorry for hijacking the topic.

Same as previous letters but without the recommendation to keep outside.
See attached.

@eddieterry - does the first page of your letter show the recall ID is ARB6 or ARB7? As your letter doesn’t seem to mention any charging location restrictions my guess is you have ARB7.

Hello and please check this short video:

Are you certain that the ARB6 battery monitoring sw update was applied? In the UK we are being advised this has been delayed from Q1 until after Q2

This may have been answered already, but if no timers are enabled but a profile is enabled, charging will occur up to 100% at your preferred schedule. And up to your minimum charge as soon as you plug in.
