Has anyone bought a used taycan from the main dealer recently? How much discount did you manage to haggle? I've been following the taycan market for 4 months now as I'm looking for a turbo s and have noticed prices are steadily dropping. There's certain cars that have been sat in stock for months.

I've also ran some cars through my dealer friends' HPI CAP and he's told me most of these turbo s have a CAP price in the low 40s yet are being sold by the dealer in the mid 60s. With retail CAP price at 50k. 20k profit on a taycan seems insane - Would it be realistic for me to haggle them down to retail CAP price at least?

pretty much all car prices will drop month on month with some slight seasonal variations. I sold my 4S CT in March for £60k dealer sold within days for an advertised £69k when at the time WBAC value was £50k - today WBAC 2 months later is only £41k - Porsche dealers will always charge top prices and are unlikely to drop to the level you hope for .

I'd love to know how much people are managing to knock off though. Was it close to the 69k asking price or did it go for a lot lower...

Also did you do a trade in with porsche or a straight buy back for them to offer so much more than wbac?

You don't say what year - I just looked on Auotrader and the Turbo S comes up as a 2023 with 30k, so still in warranty. The price is £70k and putting that reg in WBAC comes up with a value of £ 51k. If WBAC are offering £ 51k you can absolutely be sure the retail will be well over £ 10k more.

Seems unlikely to get any significant discount.

Cars are already "cheap'.

Expect £10K - £15K mark up to cover cost of preparation (Taycans can require a lot of frontal paint restoration) aswell as dealer profit - official dealerships only - 111 point checks, tyres, 2 year warranty.

Recently swapped from a j1.1 to a j1.2 4S.
Bought as a demo car and saved over £40k from list. Plus I can get the corp tax benefit, so that’s another £20k + off. (Until I sell, when some tax will need to be paid back).
So, a massive on paper discount.
But it will still suffer from significant depreciation.
Seems that most 4S could be had new for circa £100k. So, depending on spec circa £10k - £30k discount. Likely to get bigger.
Best bet is too haggle for a car registered before end of March to save on the extra annual tax bill (though compared with depreciation, this will be a negligible cost).
