Is the Mission X BEV concept worth buying at the right price?

Is there a need for a BEV Supercar if it's rare, almost six figures?

If a 1100hp Taycan Turbo GT is $235k, How much would a Mission X be worth to you?

To me? This is a $250k car, but likely will list at $400k

$400k is not as bad compared to the 918 price.

I agree because it's an EV, it shouldn't be so expensive
It would be expensive because it would be very low volume, therefore the design costs have to be amortized over a much lower volume of cars. Taycan costs are amortized over the entire Taycan trim lineup - there isn't going to me a Mission X4, Mission X4S, etc. And even if there was, chances are it would still sell less than a Taycan, as it's not a daily driver.

Ask Rimac what wealthy people would buy.
Hint: it's not electric.
Really? What would Rimac know about selling non-electric cars to wealthy people?

Is the issue technology or the brands. Are those old people buying ICE supercars from new upstarts, or just well known brands, i.e. if Rimac built a fire breathing ICE supercar, would they be able to sell them at $2M a piece?

I'm going to guess most people buying brand new supercars are doing it as collectors, perhaps investment. For that, you want a known brand (like a known artist) over the actual quality, capabilities, or visual appeal. How many $2M supercars are actually used for racing?

I'm guessing that the reluctance for people to buy EV hypercars is down to the fact that the batteries have a finite lifespan. (both in terms of miles and age). an ICE car will keep on going but even still, will hardly be driven. if you let an EV sit there not driven for potentially decades , the batteries will likely be shot and that'll be an expensive-ass fix, assuming that a) those batteries are even still available in 10-20 years and be the price!! its bad enough to replace the batteries in a standard consumer level EV if needs be, but for a hypercar, I'm going to go out on a limb to suggest that the batteries in those would be a LOT higher quality and a LOT more expensive. I'm not going to shell out on a 2m car as an investment only to have , on top of all the standard upkeep, to shell out hundreds of thousand to replace the batteries at some point in its lifecycle.
