I’ve just tried to hurry mine up. If it arrives just into 2021 and Brexit goes ahead without a trade deal then the cost will jump an eye watering fifteen grand.
It’s unlikely I can do anything to affect delivery but it’s certainly worth a try.

My delivery date is in July next year and I ordered it back in May through Arval in the UK. Waiting to see what Brexit brings as Porsche have communicated that the consumer will pick up all the cost (10% Tax +costs) if no deal. Option to cancel, but not likely , still a bargain.

i think it’s the fact that I am looking at being JUST the wrong side of the deadline that is so frustrating. The difference being two weeks (or less).
Plus the fact I have had absolutely no communication from the dealer regarding what could potentially happen to the price.

When I spoke yesterday to query this it was nonchalantly dropped into the conversation that I would indeed be liable to this absorption. That doesn’t sit right with me.

Just had word from the dealer that my car will be completed on the 5th of December and he is hopeful it will now arrive this year.

He casually attached the Brexit letter and told me to sign it immediately. I am sure this forgoes any rights I may have had to cancel without penalty. So I can’t see any benefit to me by signing it now.

I think I’ll sit on it for now.

yes not normal, but I did receive an email on Oct 16 to link the porsche id, so it can't take long, can it?

October 31st received email to accept my Porsche. Added to My Porsche ID and also shows in Porsche Connect app. Limited functionality as you need to login within the car and I don't get the car till Nov 11th. But I am so happy with my halloween present to have the car show in my id.

FYI the initial email was asking to text my work number not cell number, quick call to Porsche North America and they sent me a new email. All registered in just a few minutes.

Also had my wife create a Porsche ID tonight and I added her as an additional driver for the car already and it shows on her account as well.

Some Porsche software seems well thought out and functional.

T minis 11 days and counting......

T minus 16hrs. I am getting seriously nervous.

Apps download and already signed up for Porsche Charging Service which is pending activation until I login to the vehicle console (PCM).

I'll be sure to post a few photos after delivery, but even more exciting to other 2020 owners is that my delivery specialist hinted some of those 2021 features may be available for my Taycan.

I don't want to say more until I learn more...
