would it help to align it in range mode so that it would have less negative camber when ride height is normal?

My 2020 Taycan went for it's yearly MOT at OPC yesterday and came back with this and the OPC never actually mentioned it...although there's small small icons under each tyre which I don't understand what they mean

That isn’t very helpful, you really need to know how far out the alignment is, particularly the front camber as that really needs the front bumper to be removed to adjust it. Ask for the actual values for each wheel. Camber will change slightly when toe is adjusted. See attached image, only adjustment was to toe but camber values changed too.

If getting an alignment at an independent shop be sure they have VW Tool T90009 to set rear toe. I bought my own.

Yep, m18 outer socket 9mm inner socket. Non oem tools are available at 25% of the cost of Porsche version.

Our local dealer told us we needed new tires…three weeks after selling us the car as CPO. According to them, an alignment and recalibration is also required with tire replacement (all at Porsche Service rates, of course). I took the car to Discount Tire and they said, A) at 6/32, you don’t really need new tires yet, and B) there is no indication of uneven tire wear, so alignment isn’t necessary. One more reason to not trust most of what Porsche Service says (this one, at least).

Some further internet research says that recalibration is in fact necessary on the Taycan after you do an alignment. However, it also confirmed that there’s no need to do an alignment unless you see a reason to do an alignment (uneven tire wear).

If they sold you the car as CPO only 3 wks ago, I would demand that they cover the cost of new tires and alignment as those things should of been addressed during the CPO process.

Get it aligned in the ride height you drive in most often. My dealer always asks me this when doing an alignment.

Car lowers itself at higher speeds, so not exactly correct.

Mine says alignment is always done at the lowest setting

About 18 months ago I was told by the Porsche dealership that an alignment was needed however our local excellent tire store folks didn't agree after inspecting the tires. I've since replaced all four with Michelin Sport — still no re-alignment — and the car and tires seem fine. I'm keeping an eye on the tires but since I'm not pushing the limits of the Taycan by any means I'm sticking with tire store folks opinion.
