I agree you with you 100%. The Taycan, especially the Cross Turismo is such an exceptionally well-designed vehicle. It looks exotic and all the proportions are just right.

The 911 front is very... stale to say the least.

It's also weird how everyone in the Porsche enthusiast scene blows their load at any 911, whereas imo, the Taycan is a better overall package.

I also think it feels more nimble, but maybe that's because I didn't break the Taycan in and just floored it everywhere. I'm currently babying the 911.
I can’t disagree. I was born in the 1960s and the front end of the 911 is still from the 60s which is why I never pulled the trigger on a 911 from a beauty perspective. Taycan, Panamera Boxster & Cayman all have lines which illicit an emotional response. The 911 rear end does but the front end is just a 1960s remake.
I’m more likely to buy a Ferrari or a Lamborghini to get that emotional feeling but I can’t deal with the unreliability of those exotics.
The Taycan Turbo GT is close to the same performance as the 911 Twin Turbo “Halo” GT for less and it looks so much better.
The Taycan is today’s supermodel and the 911 unfortunately is the German equivalent from 1960 with an old, dated hairstyle up front when you see her but a second to none, 21st century ass when she turns around.

yeah my taycan is out and I moved to a cayman GTS 4L as a daily. I miss aspects of the taycan but the annoyances for me outweighed the benefits (and I have 4 other porsches in my garage so I'm a huge fanboy.... ) I did some track time on a 992 S and it didn't do it for me, the n/a cayman did (size mostly, plus the feel of the n/a engine, last of its kind in any porsche other than the GT models)

That Cayman was neck & neck with the Taycan back in 2023 but I went with the sedan instead for business write off purposes but I’m seriously considering the Cayman as well since I think it’s such a gorgeous body style from tip to tail. You should post a pic of her even though it will make me jealous…

I can't speak for Lamborghini but my Ferrari has had only 1 fault in 28 years, and the engine is far more sophisticated than any Porsche other than any which still have a Metzger based engine, perhaps just the GT3???
All my mates told me Ferrari would be less reliable than Porsche but it has been a perfect fun car.
I bought it after testing the 993 generation 911 which looked really pretty but was disappointingly slow.

Yep, I too need both.
Taycan as perfect daily, 911 as perfect fun car.
Waiting to pull the trigger on a 911T convertible.
Beautiful cars you have there.
Ignoring the law of nature that Porsche's prices only goes up.

It's a shame that the T''s customization options are so limited. If i really going for one. Even the base Carrera have more options.

I saw a Track only Lambo on autotrader haha. So want that instead of road one. Wish that track to road conversion is more readily available. If i have that kind of money and reliabilty is not concern. Probably 750> Lambo. If i am still poor then Aston Martin

Yeah i saw the GT4 in the dealer when i was specing my Cross Turismo. I would never have gone to GT4. The interior is too dated. I am tempted with the Spyder RS. One was available in my local dealership.

Would love a FF. If i have buddy who work at dealership, i would probably have traded in already.

indeed limited!
I might be going for a classic 911T specific spec, which will have the most potential of becoming a true classic (as manual transmission Elfer will become anyway)

Haha, my dealership had a perfect specced coming in last week. When I went there yesterday to go for a test drive, it was sold already ?

I’ve had 3 cars were I alway get a wave from oncoming cars of the same breed. Lotus S3SE with pop up lights, a wave as if you flashed the lights you were well down the road before the vacuum lifted the light. A Transporter Black Edition always gets a wave and finally my base 992.2 which gets more looks and waves than anything I’ve ever had. The Taycan which I love to drive but hate the ownership experience gets zero
