I have done a lot of reading on this forum and elsewhere, and am aware of some of the battery, electronic, recall issues etc.....I sort of want to wait for a 2025 (with all of the improvements) and active ride to show up pre owned in a color combination I am looking for, but so far haven't seen anything.

I am looking at a 2024 turbo, ideally I would prefer to buy a CPO, or at least buy from a dealer, this one is neither. OTH, the car has less than 50 miles on it. I am wondering about a couple of things.....

1) I have a friend that recently bought a 24 base taycan from a third party dealer, with less than 100 miles on it at a pretty steep discount. Why/how are these cars being sold at third party dealer as pre owned with essentially no miles on them at steep discounts? Is this a red flag assuming the cvarfax is clean?

2) The specific car I am looking at started in the US with a vehicle exporter and went to the Porsche center in Puerto Rico on January 24. In april of 2025, the dealer took title to it. On June 25, it came back to the US, and was offered for sale by a third-party (non-Porsche dealer), with double-digit miles (essentially zero). First title appears to be in april or May of 25, so the warranty appears to have just started. Does any of this "mean anything"? Is there any issue with the warranty with a car exported to PR, then back to the US?

3) I obviously want to make sure all recalls were done, not sure if I can have this third party take it to the local dealer (I am nowhere near the car)?

4) Lastly, I don’t see the 19KW, or 400KW onboard charger listed, but it does have the mobile charger connect. I have a tesla plaid, and a roughly 10 year old tesla wall charger from my first tesla, I assume that will work at home? BUt will the lack of the other upgraded onboard chargers cause any issues (In 10 years I have never actually charged anywhere OTHER than my home, but I would also hate to be limited).

Thanks in advance (yes, I know I didn’t discuss price, that is a whole different question 😉 )

Cross check Carfax/Autocheck and pull a Vinanalytics report for $12 so you can see the full options list. That’s the best you can do. I searched 4.5 months for a used CT, ultimately I skipped out on a CT Turbo because of some similar yellow flags, with the redshift performance update a CT4 or 4S was enough for me.

DM if you have more questions or want to share the listing. I love Porsche investigative journalism as a hobby 😬

1) I bought my used CT from an Infiniti dealer, as the original owner traded it it for a new Infiniti. (Kind of funny since a Porsche dealer was literally across the street.) But that was with 18k miles, not, say, 180 miles. I suppose Taycan owners can be rather fickle? Sometimes Porsche dealers will sell a "used" Taycan with ~180 miles, but that's more a way of recording a sale in advance and then offering a big discount on a "used" Taycan instead of discounting a new Taycan. Either way, I'd definitely ask some q's since I don't ever remember seeing a combo of minimal miles at a non-Porsche dealer.

2) Strange, but as long as you can verify the warranty start date (and hence end date), I don't think that matters.

3) Run the VIN here: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls ... and it it has any open recalls -- eh, whatever, you'll inevitably have to deal with a future recall anyway, so whatever open recall you need to bring it in for, that will be good practice! I'd be more concerned with HV SoH.

4a) You really don't want the 22kW charger -- it's prone to failure, the replacements are prone to failure, and now Porsche seems to have given up on its entirely. You'd need a 100a breaker in your panel to install 80a EVSE, which at best is especially expensive and at worst is borderline infeasible. And you'll seldom find 80a EVSE in the wild. Plus as you already know from your 48a Tesla, that charging speed is fine for overnight (or more like a portion of the night). Just budget ~$120 for a NACS > J1772 adapter from Lectron or A2Z -- even better, buy two, one for home, and one to keep in your Taycan should you ever need to charge at a Tesla Destination L2 site ... although perhaps not bother if you've never charged away from home with your Tesla over the span of a decade.

4b) As for the 150kW/400v option, with it you can charge in the 130s at Magic Docks now, which are extensive where I travel, but sparse in California. Sometime this year next year this decade we will gain access to most of the other V3 stations. Without that option, you'll be capped at 50kW. And other networks like Ionna that actually care about capacity and reliability are finally growing. So reliance upon TSCN will become less important in the future. And once again, if you're never charged your Tesla away from home over the past decade, seems to be moot for you.
