So, car picked up Wednesday evening and spent the last couple of days getting used to it.

Original build completion date 12th Nov, shifted to 23rd Nov, presumably PSCB delay, car arrived at dealer on the 12th/ 13th Dec and picked up as soon as I could on 16th December. So approx 3 weeks from build completion to pick up from Porsche Cambridge.

Coupe of pics. Will post some more in its own thread and add a couple to the crayon thread to boot.

Stunning, absolutely stunning.

Mine was completed on the 7th of December and I am scheduled to collect from the OPC on the 22nd, which is 15 days in total. How quick is that?

Thank you. That is quick. Is the car at the dealer now then?

Well I have to say that looks absolutely the dogs inside and out, just tell me has it been difficult getting used to driving ? Ever since I saw that new Taycan crash in the drive it’s given me bloody nightmares !

No, it’s really easy to drive. To easy tbh. Everything is very calm, efficient and German. Think that crash was as he was learning into the back of the car and put foot accidentally on throttle. Just drives like a normal car.

Good stuff. If arrived this weekend, then the 22nd should be doable if they turn it around quickly.
They’ve told me to collect on Tuesday so I’m assuming the car is there.

In the “olden days”, when they commissioned the car at the dealership, your app would alert you and you could see remotely where it was. Now it appears to be behind a privacy setting so I am relying on the dealership communication and you may know through my previous posts it’s not the best.

2 more sleeps.

Absolutely gorgeous. I missed you by a day, I was picking the colour on our 4S on the 17th at Porsche Cambridge and did so by looking at some of the Taycan's awaiting collection.

Mine completed its build on 4th December but has only just arrived at Grimsby (Friday 18th). There is simply no science to the delivery times!
OPC has no idea when the car will land with them (apparently they are only notified 24 hrs before the transporter arrives with it) but have suggested that it won’t be ready for collection until w/c 4th January.
Xmas lockdown is going to feel even longer now!

Sounds good then. Think you must of got lucky timing wise going from the port to boat to U.K. to get it that quickly. Mine seemed to miss the first weekend boats meaning it was at the port for a week.

Good luck with the pick up.

I had the same issue, seemed a long time at Emden. Can only put it down to It possibly missing the first boat, and then having to wait a week until next one. Oh well, at least you can spend some time with family and friends over Christmas so the time will pass.... oh hang on, no you can’t now! Sure the couple of weeks will pass quickly regardless.
