I purchased a OBDLink MX+ adaptor (could not get their software to work; would not connect). I installed EVScanner app on my phone. I connected and got these results. I'm looking for feedback from those much more experienced than myself about what these mean and what I should do about it.

SoH is 86% - Reports that to be below normal.

The cell voltage is allover the place as is battery temp?? FYI I pulled this after the car sat for an hour after which I did a 1 mile drive in cool (high 60s) temp.

Range shows 112 miles; miles since last charge is 20 miles. So 132 mile range?

We have done this now for years. You have the right OBD. You need a free CarScanner app.
OBD connects to the phone via Bluetooth, follow instructions that came with OBD on how to do it using CarScanner. Then you have to select eTron/Taycan profile in CarScanner and hit Connect. Then the data will be under Dashboard screens.

Please see if you can make OBD to connect to your Phone with CarScanner running. Then I can take you through what screens you need to capture the right data.

I got this and it's hooked up. Let me know what you need screen shots of (assuming this is the correct app). Thanks!

You have shown pictures of a very good scanner for your Porsche. It gives the same information as CarScanner about battery state. From the pictures you showed the values do not seem totally out of whack. You have to look at the scale and it is very zoomed in for voltage. It could get better if you did a recalibration cycle as described in other parts here on the forum. The temperatures also look quite ok but they are different even in CarScanner. Your SoH indicated can seem below average but perhaps will look very different if you took the car on a longer road trip.

Your consumption depends on weather and distance driven as well. 2.3 mi/kWh is quite high but your speed is only 9 mi/h.

You need to drive the thing and see how things change. The range calculation is very dependent on your last drives and they do no.t seem too exciting.
112 miles range at 65, 66% SoC is quite low though.

@SergeyIndy - Any suggestions?
I am happy to help. I want to confirm that you have the right Car Scanner App.
If you open it, go to Settings, scroll back to info and see if it looks like this.
I paid for mine but you do not have to, free version works great.

But wait a minute, looking at your original screen, I do not see any issue with 86% SoH, that is normal. Car Scanner will give better cell level data, so I recommend proceeding, but let's get your app connected, configure profile, and then I can guide you what Dashboard screens you need to share so I can interpret them for you.

@SergeyIndy

Here's what I have; I have an iPhone so I hope that's why our software versions are different.

Regarding SoH thanks for your comment that it's not that bad. I did see a post on here showing a 91% SoH for a 30K mile car; that's what concerns me. My car has 12K on it so a 14% decline is a bit concerning but as you say; maybe that is "normal". :)

Thanks again for your help!

@SergeyIndy - Hey Sergey. Checking in on this...
Navigate to Settings and select Porsche EV profile.

Then pair OBD to phone via Bluetooth. Plug in OBD to Taycan on the left bottom of driver side. Turn Taycan on. Then ask the phone to pair with it.

Launch CarScanner app and then hit Connect.

Please report back if Connect successful.

If so, then go to Dashboard and capture a screen that has SoH value and 3 cell Graphs and share.

86% SoH for almost five years old Taycan is not bad.
I had 88% in my 4th year (after 65k km) and it’s known fact that aging lowers SoH the most, not mileage.

This is totally normal for a 21 with the miles. However, you still need to get key data from the CarScanner for peace of mind. I scan and record this data every 1k miles as a proactive monitoring exercise to detect any sudden changes that would indicate a cell going bad, since you only need 1 to go into Red Circle of Death.

Specific screens from the Dashboard are:
- SoH with Battery Energy
- Cell Graphs with Temp, SoC, and Voltage

@SergeyIndy - Here's data from today. Since my post above I did run the range down to 3%, let it sit overnight, charged it to 100%, and let it sit overnight. SoH went up 3% from 85.98 to 88.9. Don't know if that is the different software or if it actually improved. I will also add that the temp and cell voltage, and Cell SOH bar charts look to be flatter across the cells. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks
Roy

@Tpup. Roy, you did amazing job getting everything right and posting all the right things.
Also, you did a rebalance, which was something I was going to recommend to capture before and after. I do this type of data scan every 1k miles and a rebalance every 5k miles to keep the cells exercised which is recommended to identify if any cell is going bad, since the rebalance will identify any cell that is out of shape.

1. SoH rise to after rebalance as much as 3% is the highest I have seen and this is probably because this is the first time you have done it.

2. SoH value of 88.9% I would consider exceptional for the age since you have a 21 so it should give all owners of 21 and later models a lot of good news that battery degradation is not bad at all.

3. Cell graphs are about as perfect as I have ever seen them even after a rebalance. You are looking for any outliers that do not align to the pack, if so then you have a developing bad cell problem.

4. Also, I do a quick calculation for the actual battery capacity at full charge if it aligns to a predictable healthy level. You take current Battery Energy (62.95kWh) and divide by SoC Display (81.14%) and you get 77.58kWh. This is a healthy value and I use it to approximately calculate my actual range using real time efficiency reported by the car, so for example I used a relative mid point of 39 kWh/100miles that translates into 200 mile range. So If I am below 39 then I know I have more than 200 miles, but if I am above then I have less than 200 miles which is not unusual for cold temp driving.
