Following a recent long trip with several HPC stops my mileage at full charge has dropped from 225+ to 160, I have completed 2 full recycles but the max range has not improved. Hoping this is not another battery issue !!

Have the car booked into the dealers but wondering if anyone knows how I can check the SOH via the VCDS I have:

Many thanks
Scott

Your range guesstimator will be trained on past trips. This means a long trip will in fact reset its parameters. My experience is that it "remembers" about 600miles (1,000km), so after a long trip, it might take a bit to come back to "normal". I learned on the drive home from the dealer after picking up my Taycan (3,500 miles /5,600km drive) - the original "factory" range was significantly over-optimistic for my style of driving (yes, I didn't buy a Porsche to drive it like a geriatric, plus my trip was through North America in the middle of winter, so definitely colder than factory setting for warm climate where I picked it up). It took about 600 miles/1,000km for it to start being accurate.

That said, it's not a bad idea to keep track of SoH of your Taycan. I am not sure how you can do it with VCDS, but might be worth trying the free CarScanner app and see if it can use the VCDS hardware to access the Taycan. If it works, it will show you SoH on one of the screens. Alternatively, an adapter that works with CarScanner costed me ~$50 IIRC, in case you don't hear back from any VCDS users.

As a point of reference, my Taycan shows 184miles/296km at 85% SoC right now, have not done any long trips on it this summer (worries about all the recalls, brake lines mostly).

similar experience. it'll take some time to re-adjust.
i never paid attention to range on an ICE. I don't do it with an EV.
more important is the % of battery left (or gas left)

That's strange cuz long trips with constant speed (55-65 mph) normally would result in better range.
You drove @130-150 mph all of the time?

Charging a few times at a HPC shouldn't affect your battery that much and I doubt it'll show in the SOH.
Even if you have a readout of your battery you don't know anything cuz you don't have a readout before the trip...
I have VCDS but I don't know if it's in there (if I remember correctly).
Better use an app called Carscanner and buy the appropriate OBD-dongle.

don't need to go that fast to see a drastic drop in range.
at 90mph, consumption is already above 31 kWh/100km

It's about the intension of my comment, not about the exact numbers. ?
Above around 50 mph the wind resistance becomes a huge factor (exponential) cuz
Resistance= 1/2 x ρ x Cw x A x v2
Where v is speed and multiplies by the square root.
I'm sure Frank (f1eng) knows a thing or two about that as well. ?️
