CPO a must. This is not worth more than $65k as a 2021 (a little over 4 years old), 4S, with PB+ with a baseline price around $110k when new before options.

Not so. I’ve noticed CPO prices being sticky the last month. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is listed for 75k-80k given the 152k sticker.

Yeah, agreed with the 65k as a great price. Would pay a little more if you REALLY wanted all those options.

For a comparison, I paid 76k for my 2024 4S, almost those options but no performance pack, no massage, no sport design, no carbon fiber.

CPO mine would have been 80k probably.

Even though the 2021 is totally loaded, no way I would price it like a 2024.

Sure, I could see that as a starting “asking price” at a Porsche dealer. Those all seem inflated.

But OP asked “what would you pay?”

I think I would be ok paying up to $70k on this vehicle. Did the math and that comes out to a good decent number.

Alright it’s indeed a CPO, going for 69k. This is a good snag. The only thing this build is missing IMO that I would kick myself for not having is the noise insulated glass. Otherwise it looks super clean.

I'm a bit confused - I understand the options, but I have asked this same board about the same question about two other taycans I missed on and I got comparison numbers like listed below. Why is everyone so bullish. Protecting your value or giving honest appraisals?

Porsche Taycan 4s sold - New Attempt - What would you Pay 1768452450087-23

Not trying to call people out, but the responders don't seem to be consistent on their appraisals. I asked about a car a few weeks ago and all I hear was keep looking. Does depreciation have taycan owners freaked out? I'm buying a 2021 car because I can't afford a newer one, I believe in this car and I love it but seriously, the battery warranty runs out in 3 years its got $26K, and a lot of 22 and 23 have these option as standard. I know, I'm a newbie, if what you say is accurate I guess I should be lucky to get the car.

I had cars with insulated glass and none, including the etron rs GT that has "half" of the insolation, i can't hear any difference and i'm very sensitive to sounds.

i think a better "investment" is quite tires, i have one car with a pirelly pz4 and it's the loudest..
also, this car should go for $700/m on a 24m lease, much more prefferable over buying the car and the heavy depreciation.

How I came up with up to $70k (and I think you’re using my formula):

Porsche Taycan 4s sold - New Attempt - What would you Pay IMG_9313

Reason why I said up to $70k is because at some point you have to pull the trigger, so is it worth an extra $3k ($66.6k is what the math says based on my research) to do it now vs continuing to wait?

Prices on the used ones were lower a year ago than today it seems. The “formula” likely needs some tweaking.

Also add $5k or so to the price if buying CPO from a Porsche dealer vs buying elsewhere.

That and keep in mind for the “formula” that it’s barely 2026. You’re going to be closer to the 2025 number at this point.

Side note- I wouldn’t stretch financially to buy a used Taycan. The repair/maintenance/depreciation costs are pretty huge.

Things like paying $5,000 for a cracked windshield, $2000 for tires, up to $3000 for a 12v battery replacement.

Yes CPO buys you 2 extra years of warranty, but how long do you plan on keeping it? And keep that formula going for the expected cost of depreciation.

I’m not sure what your point here is. You ask a forum, and everyone will have different opinions on what they value. Value is very subjective. A stock can trade for $20, some may think it’s undervalued, some the opposite.

You are the one that needs to put things on a scale and decide yourself what’s valuable to you.

BTW, I’m convinced that that Edmunds appraisal doesn’t account for the fact that this car had almost 50k in options.

$0. If this was my second attempt to get into a .1, I'd wait for a .2 to fall into my budget.

I was spot on. $65k is what someone should pay for it. $69k is a well-priced with room for negotiation to sell close to $65k. CPO prices have risen and most dealers are firm on their prices due to tariffs on the new ones. However, does a $4k make a difference to a dealer while they are losing money every day in finance fees plus the turn of the year also makes cars older so someone can say this 2021 is a 5-year-old car now and EV on top of that that will require extended warranty after 2 years of CPO. I would say take $65k or leave it.

Also, has ACC so you can add InnoDrive as a FOD. I would.

I wouldn't pay anything more than $50K for this car. Its all about cost of ownership over your expected holding time frame. Given how the way the BEV market is reacting, that is my view.
I have a very highly optioned '24 4S, it had an MSRP of $165K, The market tells me its worth about $75k- 80k. Buyer beware, there are no secrets beyond blind emotion.
