New Taycan owner looking for how people have their display tubes and HUD configured? My initial impression is that the left tube is kind of useless - I currently have the battery display active, but I don't need that constantly showing. I'd love to have driver assistance on the left tube, power meter on the middle, and scroll the media and nav options on the right tube.

On the HUD, it looks like there are a variety of ways to configure with one vs two panel display options. I'm thinking about a maximal, NAV functional configuration and a minimalist option. What are you doing in your HUD?

On my left tube I have ACC displayed. It shows how close the car ahead is, in relation to the dynamic distance that I've set myself.

Also, it helps with making ACC negatives (i.e. when it fails to detect the car ahead) visible. If no car is shown there, then your car won't keep distance.

Moreover, it shows quite interesting stuff in terms of speeds within that gauge:
  • Your own speed
  • The speed that you've set on ACC
  • The speed at which the car ahead travels
Especially the latter helps a lot with planning ahead, to prevent ACC stomping the brakes when there's a high speed differential in the motorway in relation to the car ahead.

On the HUD I have navigation, which only gets activated when navigation is actually set. Otherwise, the classic fields about speed, ACC, LKA, ALK, etc.

Usually I have this, but it changes if I want turn by turn or see the map in the center, from time to time:

Left: Tire Pressure (picked up a screw on the highway a while back and saw it there before the car alerted me)
Center: Generally just the speed/regen
Right: The one with the song playing, the 12v battery info, etc.

HUD: off

Left: ACC, shows me all kinds of info posted above but I would like to add that with the ACC on the left “tube” you only have to press the distance control once and it will immediately register. If you dont show it, you will have to press it twice - once for the acc distance screen to “pop up” and once for the change.

Center: In the darker months I have the night vision, summer the powermeter

right: the info page with the date, CarPlay track, battery percentage and temp.

HUD: left ACC right power, navi pops up there too, as does cruise control settings.

Does your tire pressure also show the tire temperature?

Left Tube: Tire Pressure (Tire Temperature)
Center Tube: Speed/Regency
Right Tube: battery SOC, Battery Temperature, 12v battery Voltage, Latteral Gs

No, just PSI. Is temp monitoring a thing? I suppose it makes sense on track cars.
Yes it shows the Tire Temperature under each Tire pressure reading

Now I need to double check :\

Edit: the manual says pressure and pressure offset. I think the Performance App might have that info, but will need to check that as well.

How do I enable ACC display on the left tube? I've looked for this, but apparently am missing it. That would be my preferred left tube...

If you have it enabled it should just show up there.

Interesting stuff. I am curious though as to why people monitor the 12V status? Could someone please elaborate?

These 12v batteries can be an issue. I want to see if its holding its charge.
My Taycan was sitting for week, when I turned it on, the 12v battery showed 12.8v then immediately shot up to 13.4v where it usually sits.

My display setup is optimized for performance, with the PCM running Waze to see cops and i can tag to warn other drivers, in conjunction with the Valentine One Radar detector connected through Mirror Tap.
Directions and Music track is not as important.
