Fixed it:

Registro Italiano E-motion is the world’s first Porsche Club for all-electric sports cars. One weekend in September, 131 participants and 73 electric vehicles set out on the club’s first-ever road trip – to Hans-Peter Porsche’s Traumwerk museum just outside of Salzburg – launching a new era of Porsche community.
Unfortunately 72 of the 73 cars got hopelessly lost because the Navigation kept crashing, and the 73rd car stopped early on in the journey due to the red circle of death.

You are being very charitable per piston vs non piston Porsche drivers. In my part of the world its quite noticeable--the difference in the demographic. I'll stop there :)

PCA established the club's first EV Technical Coordinator over a year ago and has been working to incorporate EV-related aspects and activities. I think David is on this forum as well. I drove my Tacan 4 CT from Austin to the Birmingham Parade in the summer of 2024 and the trip was pretty easy. The hotel had no idea how to charge my car but the dealership was very accommodating.

I go to a lot of Porsche meets, 2 this weekend. Rarely does the group consider the Taycan a real Porsche.
Most of the time I have to explain why the name Turbo is used.

Sorry to hear that. I love my 911 as well but they're just different cars and scratch different itches. I'd also counter that Porsche would beg to differ as they're the ones that put a badge on it. Electric is the future, not that anyone here needs convincing.

This would be great. Love to hang with y' all at such future ev events!

Ok, here's my take on turbo gate. Feel free to make this argument your own as helpful :) maybe others have already made this assertion, in which case, I stand in their intellectual shadow.

I hail from both renewable energy and aviation sectors. My blended family...

We use the term turbine to refer to many things in aviation and energy. The term refers to its roots of a thing that rotates on an internal axis..just seems to have taken hold in making energy for power n aviation.

Ok so at some point in 20th century the device which causes forced air induction got the sexier moniker of 'turbocharger' . Lay public now thinks the term turbo refers to only forced air induction on ice vehicles.

Sorry Ice owners but you dont own the concept of turbine! Nor the moniker of turbo. An ice engine's core motive power is a Rube Goldberg clattertrap of very non turbo parts n pieces. The only thing turbo about a turbo ice engine is a tiny whizzing after the fact device bolted on to this needlessly complex engine.

Enter the EV. It's primary motive power is 100 pct, pure unadulterated turbine engine in the form of a electric motor.

So, my punchline goes, EV owners are way more turbo than a clattertrap golbergian ice owner.

Said with love for ice but I also love ww2 radial piston engines and the noises they make. Love em. But thats nostalgia and thats the past
Not the future.

Anybody know if the all Electric Porsche group is legit or if it's just a bunch of reincarnated "Tesla Bros"? I think there is merit in having an electric specific club at this point in Porsche's journey.

Last EV event I went to, it was all Teslas, a Bolt and myself.
