What is a reasonably priced tire sealant refill cartridge that will fit my MY2022?

Following my decision not to pay for the $1K 40K service. I got the cabin filter replaced on my own, now this!

You could search eBay or similar for genuine VAG sealant, 600ml bottle. Looks exactly the same as the original, price will depend on the expiry date. 8P0 012 619A was the part number of the one I picked up recently with a 2028 expiry for less than half the price Porsche wanted.

I wouldn't even replace the fluid. Most expiration dates are either invented or overly conservative. Bottled water has expiry dates! You know, the stuff that arrived on earth about 4B years ago.

I didn't pay the 1K 40K service either. I did have them do the brake flush and reset the maintenance reminder. I watched the Rennlist video to change the filter, and also watched the PCA video that shows how the tire repair fluid goes bad (gets thick) and doesn't work after a period of time. I bought the cabin filter, new wipers and a tire repair kit from Pelican parts, less than $150, and paid the Porsche dealer $400 for the brake flush and reset.

I have a thread on this, but in short you just get a tire sealant that comes with a yellow valve, that allows you to pump the sealant "automatically" using OEM tire compressor as it pushes the sealant into the tire using this valve. I used it once and it is the best thing ever that I use even for the cars that have the spare tire. You want this and retail is around $150 and a no brainer. Taycan OEM sealant is a silly manual squeeze bottle with 100 lego like steps to use that @DerekS recommended which is correct but not ideal. My recommendation to any Taycan owner to get this one below that is literally plug and seal, no damage to pressure sensors, the sealant just washes off and tire is replaced - I watched them do it.

my understanding tho is that the fluid is supposed to be fluid. Mine is now a solid gel.

Reason I needed to replace was using it for a flat front. Easy operation, use the little tool to take the centre pin out of the valve and squeeze the liquid in, doubt it would work if the liquid had thickened.

Used the inflator and drove 250 miles home without problem. Subsequently replaced both fronts as they didn’t have much life left, but the liquid would have washed out.

Honestly, I have never used a tyre sealant. Do they actually work on, say a puncture from a screw or nail? If yes do you have to inflate further after using it and how far can one reasonably expect to drive on that tyre? Thanks.

My thread that is linked above is exactly the proof that they work great and saved me big time when in the Cayenne 100 miles away from home. Nail puncture, pumped the sealant, drove back at 60mph, and since it was the weekend, held up 2 days in the garage, no problem, then dealer just washed it out, and put a new tire on. Best experience with a flat I have had bar none. So now I have each of the yellow valve kind in all my cars and do not carry spare wheel/tires in the SUVs that came with that to save weight.

Does liquid tire sealant even work on EV tires that have the sound absorbing foam strip inside? Some non-EV tires like my Michelin Pilot Sport S 5s also have this foam strip. I would think the foam strip would soak up a lot of the fluid, and also prevent it from flowing laterally, so the fluid wouldn't reach a leak on the opposite side of the strip from the tire valve where it is injected.
