For me at least, it's not enough of a difference to justify the 100k+ over a base 911. Add 60-70k extra, and you get a low milage used SF90/296, which is in a different league, for me at least.
"Low mileage" is a pretty bad comparison.
You can get a "low mileage" 992.2 GTS for 170k. A SF90 is literally double the price.
Let's compare apples to apples here. Not one car used and other one new.

Well said.
Very tiring and boring for sure, lots of empty talk, full of childish emojis. Just jump it over and go to the next one.
When I see long comment with full of yellow heads, I know what to do.
Unfortunately eating up almost every thread. It takes a lot of time, shouldn't be accidentally.

My point is that the SF90 is double the car of a gts at 170k.

Is a 992.2 gts at 170k double the car that a base 911 is, at 90-100k?

I would say no.

Should we also start to end the texts with Best regards?

It's a forum for discussions. It's a thread about porsche's sales.

I am bringing up reasons for why the sales are down, by comparing them to ferrari.

All you guys are doing is baseless personal attacks, quite childish indeed. But hey, maybe typing less emojis makes you feel more masculine.

Do you have any relevant insight to add on the topic, or just baseless spam? Sadly, this is not gmail, we can't filter your trash automatically.

The level of fanboy some of you showcase is reminsicent of iphone kids from a decade ago. Incapable of proper arguments, just personal attacks.

Rather self-knowledge.
Very tiring and boring for sure, lots of empty talk, full of childish takes. Just jump it over and go to the next one.

When I see short comment empty of any meaning, baseless spam puked on a keyboard, I know what to do.

Unfortunately eating up almost every thread, baseless 1-3 word spam. It takes a lot of time, shouldn't be accidentally.

Good advice indeed.

That's not what you said:

You said something completely different and I called your BS. Because I know what a SF90 costs and what a 992 costs... and comparing new car to used car price is just dumb.

I most certainly did. But hey, sure. I’ve just repeated the same point for 3 pages.

You partially quoted my text at 10:30pm; and my full text with clarification was already available for 2h before you quoted it partially

You can check the time difference yourself, on your partial quote

But hey, glad we could clarify it

So I’ll repeat it again; I think Porsches problem is that many people, just like me, don’t see the value in their upper trims. Why would somebody pay double for a GTS if they don’t get double the car of a 911?
If you go with other brands from italy, and choose to pay double a gts, you do get double the car of a gts.

Porsche delivered 3,420 examples of the Taycan in the first quarter, representing a decline of 19 per cent.

I was curious about Porsche and its history of constantly raising its prices year over year, so I asked ChatGBT for some metrics regarding Porsche’s profit margins. Here they are for you to digest:

ModelPrice RangeEst. MarginEst. Profit per Car
911$140K - $250K+40 - 50%$60K - $120K+
718$75K - $120K25 - 35%$20K - $40K
Cayenne$90K - $160K+20 - 30%$20K - $50K
Macan$60K - $90K15 - 25%$10K - $25K
Panamera$100K - $200K15 - 25%$20K - $45K
Taycan$100K - $200K~0 - 10%$0 - $15K

In terms of dealer profit margins, you’re typically looking at this:

ModelBase MarginTypical ADMReality
911 Carrera8 - 12%$0 - $20KRelationship-driven
911 GTS8 - 12%$5K - $25KStrong demand
911 Turbo S8 - 12%$10K - $50K+Scarcity pricing

Cayenne8 - 12%$0 - $10KOften negotiable
Macan8 - 12%$0Discounted

I’m most surprised to learn that Panamera sales were higher than Taycan sales. Taycan offers three body styles, while I rarely see Panamera models. Due to emission taxes in the Netherlands,

Panamera cars are extremely expensive, so perhaps my reference is not the most accurate. In fact, most Porsches here are mostly Cayennes (hybrid due to the emission tax) and some Taycans. So I'm also suprised by the great 911 sales numbers.
