- 2024 Macan EV Turbo, 2023 C8 Z06
Some OEMs instead call them crossovers.

Different car I know but I just had an ICE Cayenne Coupé loan car - which was horrid! - couldn't wait to get my Taycan backLove the Cayenne coupé design, it's like a bigger Taycan, might have found my replacement !! (J1.1 Turbo is too sporty for my old back I guess lol)
.I sure hope it's a different car, as I might buy two of them at some point. I never enjoyed the Macan ICE, but really liked the Macan EV loaner I got once, despite its AR HUD not working (it worked for about 10 seconds after starting driving, then errored out, I was told there was an outstanding recall to fix that). I also enjoyed the Macan EV Turbo test drive, even though I never liked Macan ICE or Cayenne ICE. Really hoping Cayenne EV is more like the Taycan, but more refined and more reliable.Different car I know but I just had an ICE Cayenne Coupé loan car - which was horrid! - couldn't wait to get my Taycan back.
ah damn was it the latest generation ?Different car I know but I just had an ICE Cayenne Coupé loan car - which was horrid! - couldn't wait to get my Taycan back.
How did you feel the handling vs Taycan ? I drove a well optioned base Macan the same day I drove my future T Turbo, it was very disappointing from handling PoV, bumpy as hell, moving from left to right when taking the slopes etc.I sure hope it's a different car, as I might buy two of them at some point. Drives badly? Compared with the Taycan it felt like a boat! Slow, ponderous gear changes, vague steering, leaning in corners, ... To me it felt like I was kinda there for the ride, rather than actually driving.ah damn was it the latest generation ?
I was considering to switch to a 2nd hand Cayenne coupé hybrid, to wait out the next ~2-3 years until I can get a well-optioned Cayenne S EV for <100K€.
Wiser from budget standpoint, but I won't if it drives badly :-/
right, similar impression I got when I drove this Macan EV I mentioned, but might have been a spec issue, maybe the Macan GTS with air suspension is better.Drives badly? I liked Macan ev as a loaner too, but i’d never buy it.I sure hope it's a different car, as I might buy two of them at some point. The macan turbo is better than the macan 4, less boaty feel. Haven't drove the GTS.right, similar impression I got when I drove this Macan EV I mentioned, but might have been a spec issue, maybe the Macan GTS with air suspension is better.
Definitive best seems to be Cayenne EV + PAR, but I'm not rich enough yet to take the hit of the depreciation sooooo I'm looking for a smarter move lol
Thanks @chun I'll try either a Turbo or GTS then (Macan). The macan turbo is better than the macan 4, less boaty feel. Haven't drove the GTS.
The cayenne EV is much the same, only the turbo with Active Ride feels like a car and not a boat.

Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it), they may not depreciate like the Taycan.Nice looking for it's segment. Hopefully when it depreciate by 50% in 2 years, I'll pick one up to replace the wife's Model Y.
I played with the Porsche configurator on a very well spec Cayenne turbo electric. The total price was around $235,000 and on a 24 month lease. The residual was $120,000 which tells me within two years, it loses 50% of its value.Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it), they may not depreciate like the Taycan.
Just look at the price of used 2025 Macan EVs. They’re still quite high.
SUVs tend to hold value better than sedans, but we shall see.
Only time will tell, but so far, EVs have not held their value. I don't expect the cayenne to be any different. Well optioned Porsches also don't hold their value well. 50% drop in 2 years would be on the high end, but I don't think it would be unreasonable to see a 35-40% drop from MSRP for a 2 year old Cayenne EV.Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it), they may not depreciate like the Taycan.

For sure the top optioned ones do worse than the more basic models. And Cayennes don’t hold value as well as Macans. But I would guess both will still be better than the Taycan.Only time will tell, but so far, EVs have not held their value. I don't expect the cayenne to be any different.
