This is the only review I have found that actually features driving the car. Check out the driving impressions towards the end of this video:
Ok, I've gone from No to Maybe.
I'd approach from the side when using the hatch, and remain close to the car to avoid looking directly at that blacked out expanse.
The V8 emulation mode looks fun and I don't hate the interior, I'll have to test its sound system against the Cayenne and i7.

Coupes are a limited market and sports car segment doesn't want an EV. Thats why the 718 EV is still in question
Yes they’re a limited market.

And so are 800-1000+ hp vehicles. But that kind of power should be in a great looking sports car.

Putting it first in sedans, trucks and SUVs kind of answers a question no one asked. It’s crazy to me that an EV sports car still doesn’t exist in the US. I do appreciate a good sleeper, but it’s crazy to me to make them all sleepers with super car acceleration and the only EVs that are actual sports cars are multi-million dollar super cars.

If they ever build the Tesla roadster….. that would make more sense than the S and X plaid. The electric Mustang coupe could have made more sense than the Mach E (and I owned one).

Hmm. Polarizing for sure. I dig the back. I feel like this is one of those cars that will look surprisingly good 15 years on.

Torque cutting in Sport and SportPlus to emulate an ICE engine is what pushed you over to maybe? ;)
I like the ICE mode option in general, waiting to see how Porsche does theirs.
Was hoping for a two speed gearbox like they're using in the C class.

I love the EV butter smooth acceleration. Adding torque reduction for the sake of imitating the ICE engine with X-speed transmission just seems comical, and stupid. Imagine ICE cars that would add horse galloping emulation, so it limits you to 1hp equivalent (pretending you're riding a horse). No thanks - I am happy to admit that machines can generate better acceleration that horses, or that EVs can accelerate faster than ICE engines.

I agree. But as long as it can be switched off, I have no problem with it. More options for more people.

I'd also like a stick and clutch pedal to complete the emulation, or leave it in auto.
Two cars in one without the smell, oil and plug changes.

Porsche people don't buy Mercedes.
Maybe Porsche EV people are different.
I only like the color, it would suit a Taycan very well too. 🥰
But then again, a Taycan still looks better. 🤷🏼‍♂️
Not all,
I owned 4 911 Turbos and about a dozen different variants of 911.
Couple 928s too when they hey were making them.
That did not stop me from buying AMGs, exactly 20 of them when including 4 cars from AMG before the merger.
If you are a true car enthusiast, you don’t limit your choices to just one Brand, Porsche is a great one but far, far from ultimate.

They got John Ive's team, ex-Apple product designers, to design this - the first time they got external designers.
Independent contractors? Excellent they should be even easier to fire.

What an absolute disaster. They had an opportunity to make an EV supercar and spit out a dud.

Good luck selling more than dozens of these. 😂

It’s an uglier version of the Lotus EV SUV.
Just did a quick search and there are only four Lotus Eletre listed for sale in the US…… and they’re all leftover 2025 models. Ouch.
