Could I import a MY 2027 CT/ST into the US?

Ok, just thinking out loud and since I live in the Seattle area, Vancouver BC is 3 hours away.

I know the difference between the CT and sedan are very minor (see below), but can I import from Canada since this would be a newly manufactured car? I would probably have to find an importer, pay a bunch of fees, additional taxes, paperwork, etc. but is this a definite "not possible" or a "throw more money at it" problem?

Maybe I'd have to rent a PO box in Canada for all the paperwork to finalize, get plates, etc. and then drive it myself into the US and re-register it?

Looking for your thoughts on if this is possible but don't need any on it's a waste of time/money, etc. aspect.

There are formal import processes for Canadian cars to the US. It mostly is an exercise in patience, paperwork, and reaching deep into your pockets. You'll also pay taxes at multiple points, Canadian local, import duties.

There are probably import/export companies in Canada that may specialize in this service.

The most important thing for you is to note that the car has to be owned by you (not financed). You're likely going to need some manner to receive Canadian registration documents (still pay local taxes), and store the car until you get all the paperwork aligned.

Honestly, it's not worth it for the Taycan considering this car depreciates. There are a ton of preowned supply coming back into the market from leases, you should just track it on the Porsche Finder. I looked into this before trying to purchase a below market price GT2 which is a different math as registering that car in the US instantly increased its value by $50k.

This is what google says which is consistent with how I understood the process.

Will there be a 2027 CT/ST in Canada? I thought it was dead for all of North America.

If there is one I still think importing would be a hassle given the CT/ST was never sold in the US for MY27. The 918 shown above is a different story because the 2015 918 was sold in the US.

With a lot of money everything is possible. However given how “reliable” those are, and not going to have warranty after you do… probably not wise…

The warranty is honored by Porsche North America so a Canadian Porsche with a warranty (or CPO) is honored in the US.
