When exiting my car this evening, both headlights were on as normal. After a minute or so the pax side headlight dimmed but the driver side headlight stayed on.

Is this some sort of indicator for something??

I thought it may be signaling that the driver door was unlocked, but it seemed to still do it after I locked the door.

the Taycan doesn't trust you - and it's sleeping with one eye "open" to maintain situational awareness and the vehicle will be ready to "pounce" should you mistreat it in some manner.

perhaps it's afraid you're going to charge it with coal powered electricity or perhaps take your 911 out for some gas fueled fun while leaving the Taycan in garage sulking…

If you leave the blinker on after you turn off the car it turns on Parking Light mode and leaves the headlight on the side of blinker on.
just set your blinker arm back to center and viola no single parking light.
the parking light is useful if parking on a dark or dimly lit road and you want cars to see you that are driving by you can turn on the light to the side of the road while parked.

Just so there's no confusion, the turn signal lights don't need to actually be blinking, in case that's what you mean. In fact, they will only blink if the ignition is on.

OTOH, if the ignition is off, then when the turn signal switch is engaged to either the left or right, the corresponding headlight and side marker light will stay lit, just as @abedh stated and as you observed. This has been a Porsche feature forever.

If the turn signal switch really was in the neutral position with the ignition off, and one headlight was still staying on, then I have no explanation for that other than that something is amiss.

Turn signal was never engaged.
The car was turned on/off, moved, locked and unlocked, and it still stayed in that state.
It was just another bug in the system.

"Was", so the issue is resolved?
