quick question - how come there was such a delay and was it Tusker? I ordered via salary sacrifice with them in December and now delayed again till August (from April, month and month)

Hi Chubbs85240, mine was through Arval. I am not sure of the delays however the most sensible suggestion was that buying direct got you the better slot and the salary sacrifice companies were way down the line in priorities.
Fingers crossed you don’t have any further delays. The silver lining I suppose is that I have not had the cat sat on the drive during lockdown.

I know my OPC had 1 CT Turbo S allocation for Q2 2021, and they have not received any more since (apparently). I am also aware I am number 2 on the list at my particular dealer so if they only get one more allocation for this year, it won’t be for me!

I did see the one Turbo S allocation they had in the showroom last week as it was being collected later that day, looked amazing. Seeing it made me realise I should just be patient, but when other dealers appear to have allocations, possibly even spare ones it makes me think should I start enquiring…

Like someone mentioned earlier in the thread, I also got confirmation of a build slot in late October/early November for a CT 4S this week. In fact strangely I have an email from Porsche inviting me to the Driving experience already - I assumed that would come after delivery!

I ordered on 13th July and have heard nothing yet. The dealer did confirm that individuals get prioritised over corporate purchases which presumably includes any salary sacrifice purchases

I ordered 4S+ first week of June 2021 and still waiting for a build slot. My dealer is suggesting 1st quarter 2022!!

Did you order a saloon or CT? Possibly more allocations towards CT? Maybe more demand for saloons? therefore lack available allocations.
To be honest it was a plesant surprise. I guess I should consider myself lucky. Originally ordered a saloon with the thought of changing to a CT. Thankfully it was only 1-2 weeks after placing the order that the dealer received their CT demo.
To be fair my dealer was originally sugguesting the same. December 2021 if lucky but more realistic would be Q1 2022 and that was in March when I made my initial enquires.

I ordered a RWD saloon at the end of April and don't have an allocation yet. It is through Salary Sacrifice and the lease company said it will probably be Q1 2022 as they have 25 more on order..
