Can anyone recommend a charger installer in the Houston area who is familiar and would do the full install.

Just to give you a price idea, 14-50 plug in my garage with new breaker in panel and 90 feet of 6 gauge wired through my attic was $1570.
But you get a tax credit on your 2021 return.

Chams Electric has a bunch of experience with Tesla chargers, and could undoubtedly do the Porsche ones. Pretty sure he's out of Sugar Land. He's done a lot of installs for Tesla owners.

Cheik (sp) is the owner and did my Tesla install.

Had an excellent experience with West Houston Electric - pro, on time and courteous/respectful - no BS! Ton of experience with installs. Dealt mostly with Steven Deyo the service manager.

Any licensed electrician could do the job, call a couple for estimates, I see some very expensive installs posted. Depending on what level of service your home has it really isn’t a complicated job. Shop around and don’t pay the Taycan tax.

There's two sides to that story. There are absolutely electricians that will overcharge because 1. EV owners are rich 2. You bought a Porsche. 3. They don't know EV's and think they're complicated. 4. Whatever

The other side of that is the home. Any panel upgrade required? how long is the run from the panel to the charger install? Is there an attic? Do you have to run conduit? Does local code require a disconnect? Go through a basement? Run it outside / inside? Etc.

That's why asking what someone paid is a fool's errand. Kind of like when someone says "how much did tint cost". My first question is "what kind of tint, and on what windows?" There are too many variables to the install to say "that's too expensive" or "that's cheap".
