OTA Update - WTD4 - Battery monitoring

Had that OTA update today, it comes, it goes, doesn’t leave much of a trace.

After leaving and locking the car to continue with the update, upon return saw a notification flash up saying something like software update installed. Still haven’t got the hang Taycan OTAs

Just received and installed that update today. It had to do with the HV battery. Don’t think it will be something that I’ll notice.

This is interesting because my 2025 showed it needs a battery control unit update when I took it in today.

The TSB shows through 2024.

My J1.1 GTS was registered October 2024 (so I assume Q4) and I've had the notification, although not tried installing it yet - will give it a go today.

"High-voltage battery control unit-WTD4" was installed 2 days ago with no hiccups. I can't find anything else online that specifically says what this addresses. My car is MY 2021 4s.

Curious if they took the opportunity to fine-tune anything about the PCM...

I updated a few days ago. Nothing obvious changed.

Mine shows it needs update but no remedy available at the dealer. I have 2023. Hopefully OTA will be available in few weeks to do it

Installed yesterday on my 2024 GTS. Straightforward process, notification popped up afterwards to say it had successfully installed. Did notice that the PCM started as normal after the install then seemed to pause and then reboot a second time.

Havent driven the car yet or charged it, since the install.

Yeah, I had the same nervy moment too!

Mine failed the first time, waited 45 minutes or so tried later and it worked. Everything was very sluggish on PCM when I got back to car after upgrade and it wouldn’t play music from radio, usb or CarPlay, worked on next restart though.
