  1. Jacking pads and lifting points for Taycan

Did a search and found many posts, but nothing definitive. I need to jack up the car this weekend to switch the tires for winter wheels. The jacking points look square and proprietary. Would I be safe using a floor jack with a hockey puck or has someone found a particular jacking pad that fits...
  2. So apparently, always charging to 100% is OK (?)

Perhaps there is some validity to what the OP’s statement from their SA. If the battery is 93.4kWh but only 83-87kWh’s are usable, then wouldn’t charging to 100% always leave some built-in reserve?
  3. Build: Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo

I don’t track my Taycan either but the PDCC really does make a noticeable difference, especially in such a heavy car. Will you miss it if you don’t option the dynamic chassis control - probably not. But often the only option you regret is the one you did not spec.
  4. Build: Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo

Love the exterior and interior colors and also the choice for wheels. I would definitely add the PDCC. Have it one my Cross Turismo and it really flattens out the chassis when doing spirited driving. I would also consider ventilated front seats and while I’ve never had it before my Taycan, the...
  5. Order PDCC -- yay or nay?

I have PDCC on my 2022 Taycan 4S Cross Turismo. It really flattens the car and helps it to drive more like a sports car and less like a 5,000 LB EV. I also have air suspension and rear axle steering. iMHO you should get all of the performance options if you are a driving enthusiast. I have owned...
  6. Touch up paint color for Silver front Spoiler (plastic inlay trim)?

No. I need to call SunCoast Porsche parts. I will post a part number when I gather the information.
  7. 2023 Taycan First Drive Review: Subtle Improvements [MotorTrend]

Agree 100%. You can keep that one pedal driving and toss it in the trash can. It does not feel natural and it does not take a rocket scientist to understand that drag vs. coasting burns more energy. Keep up the good work Porsche. Regen on braking is the way to go!
  8. Set charging profile on Taycan or Wall charger?

Set the profile on the car.
  9. Do I need ventilated seats?

Porsche sells wants - not needs. With that said, get the ventilated seats.
  10. Strange fan/ticking noise during morning power-up

Just got my car back from the dealer yesterday. They replaced the entire climate control panel. It was cold this morning. While I heard a very slight ticking, it was barely noticeable and lasted for less than 30 seconds. I will monitor for a few more days and report back again. This may be the...
  11. Getting an allocation!

Nice build. You mentioned that you’re maxed on budget but should really consider the full leather interior. You can remove the onboard charger and some of the cosmetic options to help offset the cost. The full leather really gives the car another look and feel that is super nice. Congrats on the...
  12. Porsche Connect App Not Working

Can't seem to connect from my phone. Also not getting updates on the car from the website. Seemed to start yesterday or today and not sure if this is related to my Sirius subscription expiring? I checked online an the Porsche Connect services are activated. Is this is system-wide problem...
  13. Pay cash or finance ??

Just pay cash. If you invest the cash and earn 5%, that will be diluted once you are taxed federally and at the state level on the gain.
  14. How much can you typically gain with recuperation

My guess is minimal. Maybe a couple of miles.
  15. Touch up paint color for Silver front Spoiler (plastic inlay trim)?

These cars are just too low. I have been super careful not to rub the front spoiler but it was inevitable. I am not talking about the very low black plastic just in front of the wheels, I am referring to the silver inlay on the upper part of the front spoiler on my 2022 Taycan 4S across Turismo...
  16. Discoloration of plastic moulding - are other owners seeing this?

Treat them with CQUARTZ ceramic coating. It does an amazing job restoring and protecting black plastic trim.
  17. Taycan feels faster in the passenger seat

So today was an interesting experience. I let my good friend, and a fellow Porsche guy, take the Taycan out for a nice drive. Of course we did some high-performance runs and a launch control. Perhaps it’s me but the car feels so much faster when you are seated in the passenger seat, and feels...
  18. Humming/rumble sound when coasting above 130 km/h

You sure it not road noise from the tires? The are pretty audible in these cars as they are quiet as EV’s and even more quiet with the noise insulated glass.
  19. Mamba green and resale

Keith - Mamba is a special color! I keep telling my wife that Porsches painted in “Skittles” candy colors looks the best. Here’s some in the flesh shots of my Mamba Green Machine to help you decide :-)
  20. Mamba green and resale

As a Mamba Green owner, I am clearly a bit biased. With that said, I am constantly getting compliments on the Mamba Green color. I was told the same story about resale with my Lava Orange Cayenne Turbo Coupe and that car sold in one day. Hmm……
