  1. Strange fan/ticking noise during morning power-up

So the cleaning attempt was minor at best. My understanding it was a can of compressed air and that was about it. It’s silence the problem so it identify the fan is the source but was not a permanent solution. I suspect there is a wire or a piece of plastic tag somehow finding its way into the...
  2. Strange fan/ticking noise during morning power-up

So got the car back from my dealer. They immediately heard the fan ticking noise and attempted a low budget repair using compressed air to clean the fan assembly which is inside of the climate control console (behind that vent register). The good news is the cleaning immediately stopped the...
  3. Warming the Battery while in route to a fast charger?

Thanks for the tip Joe. With our free charging, do you simply re-connect to the same charger, or move the vehicle to another open charger so as not to be billed for usage? Does your car warm up at the same speed as mine, or have you simply given-up on entering the charger address in the NAV...
  4. Warming the Battery while in route to a fast charger?

I’m hoping for some validation so I can understand if what I am experiencing is within normal limits and behavior. It finally got a little cold here in New Jersey. When driving today the outside air temperatures were in the high 40s and my battery temperature was 55°. I entered an Electrify...
  5. 2023 Taycan 4s Build

You live in a cold climate. Do yourself a favor and option the larger battery. First cold day today in NJ at only 47 degrees and already a noticeable drop in range.
  6. Strange fan/ticking noise during morning power-up

I am headed into my dealership this Wednesday to have a trim piece replaced and plan to have them investigate this issue. I think they will need to keep the car overnight as the problem seems to happen in the morning and when the vehicle is cold inside. I was looking inside of the vent and...
  7. Taycan 4S vs GTS

I have a highly spaced 4S Cross Turismo with all the options. Full leather, technology package, rear axle steering, PSCB and PDCC + the massive 21” Cross Turismo wheels. MSRP was $155k. I think about moving up to a turbo but for the extra .75 seconds to 60MPH, it does not seem worth it for the...
  8. Auto Regen vs Off

I get my best kWh rating with auto regen off. That’s how I now drive most of the time.
  9. Charger Help (Simple Questions)

Overheating may impact the charger due to heat and melting damage. Yes, you can use the charger set to 50% however the car will charge much slower. You invested in a premium car. Do yourself a favor and purchase a JuiceBox 40 Charger for $650.00 and have a better charger and peace of mind.
  10. Strange fan/ticking noise during morning power-up

I think I have isolated the problem. Behind the climate control screen in that little storage area there is a vent grill. There seems to be a small fan in there and perhaps a wire is touching. When I put my hand over that vent I can feel air moving and the sound gets louder and softer. I also...
  11. Coasting is better and longer when in Normal drive mode

So I watched the power distribution screen, carefully, while doing some highway driving this week. Safe to assume the blue means using electric power, green means re-gen is occurring and no color means de-energized or disconnected during coasting. On my 2022 Cross Turismo which of course has...
  12. 3 Issues with the Taycan Tonight

Took an overnight business trip from Philadelphia to Chicago. Got back to the Philadelphia airport for what I was hoping would be an enjoyable drive home in my Taycan, but the car had other plans for me. 1. Got in the car and was welcomed home by the black PCM screen with the blue spinning...
  13. Coasting is better and longer when in Normal drive mode

Decoupling of the electric motors in different modes is what I was thinking here. Educate me. How do you find the drive / power animation display in the Taycan AWD models, whereas you can visually see what motors are applying power to the front and rear wheels?
  14. Coasting is better and longer when in Normal drive mode

Correct - lower seems to have more drag. Normal mode which sits higher seems to coast more freely. Opposite of what I would expect with less air under the car.
  15. Coasting is better and longer when in Normal drive mode

My settings for Individual mode are the same as Normal mode, with the exception of Chassis height. In Individual mode my chassis is set to LOW, of course, in Normal my height is set to Normal. I would think the lower chassis would improve the coast, but perhaps I have this backwards? Yes...
  16. Coasting is better and longer when in Normal drive mode

Has anyone noticed that the Taycan seems to coast better and longer when set to Normal drive mode? Seems to me when I have my car in Individual mode, the car does not seem to freewheel as far and actually seems to drag and slow down just a bit. In Normal the Taycan will coast at the same speed...
  17. 271 miles! 100% charged. What’s your range shown?

Question. When you are posting the range with 100% charge, are you doing it with the climate control system switched on or turned off? Seems to make a significant difference. My 2022 4S Cross Turismo (with the PCM update) shows 265 miles with climate set to 74 degrees. Turn the climate system...
  18. What options do I definitely need

The only option you regret is the one you don’t order. For me, a full leather interior is a must have. Also like the performance options and a good set of wheels.
  19. CT4 first impressions

Congrats on the new Cross Turismo. So true - they are amazing cars. Love the technology, kind of like driving an iPhone with wheels :-)
  20. Colour Choice soon

Looked at and drove a Cherry Red 4S CT and as others have said, the color did not grab me. I would go Gentian Blue given these two color choices, but color is a personal preference.
