The silver on the mission e is the default color, it goes with every body-color really.
To have them in body color that's a paid option.
as for the PSCB requirement, that's just porsche not liking the look of rusted brake-discs combined with wheels that show the brakes too much :)
pretty good...
I got a 32 pin connector with 32 pins of the correct type included from aliexpress for 2 euro
I screwed up 3-4 pins before I got it right so was happy to have extras, but that might just be me and/or the crappy crimp-tool I used :)
You need somebody with a PPN account to remove the component-protection
Either a porsche center, or some shop that works on porsches ... it can also be done remotely if you can find somebody who offers that.
Apparently porsche doesn't have 22kw OBC's left to install, so in case of warranty...
You get a $50 VAS6154 1.6.6 from aliexpress, download an image of piwis 3 (some charge you for the download links, but can be found for free), install the image on a virtual machine, run an activator for the VAS
done for $50
First determine what you're looking for
Want something (super) discreet?
Only front, or front and back?
Parking mode?
...
I wanted discreet and somewhat cheap
Got one from ARB on aliexpress
Sure there will be cams with better video, but it does a good enough job to capture the situation/license...
Drive mode: Normal
Chassis: Normal
Level: Usually lowered, I don't like the gap in normal.
Recuperation "on" ... I never got used to the coasting, really sucks the car doesn't remember the setting you like/last used.
98% of the time I drive in normal mode, which actually is a shame.
Mainly because I have a bit of gearbox-whine/drone in the 40-50 mph range, so when driving in sport at those speeds I find myself pushing over 55 mph for a second just to make it change to 2nd gear so the noise is gone.
When...
Also had a dead 12v last week, same circumstances as you, car hadn't had much action the last few weeks.
Anyway, does your PCM show you have LTE connection, or does it show something like this: =/=
Does it still show your name? (so logged in with porsche-ID)
If no connection, perhaps you need to...
I had the paddle shifters on my etron (SUV, not GT), they were there only to increase/decrease the level of recuperation ... I used them frequently
Would have liked that option on the taycan
As for simulated gear-shifts, hmm, not sure ... I do like the sound of the actual downshift with...
Buyers just want a ballpark idea, nobody really cares if the quick standard readout shows 91% and the full test with complete battery-cycle etc ends up showing 89.9%
Just the fact they can tell you with a straight face this will cost you $3000 is crazy.
Good to know the update can still come through ... I also got the letter somewhere in the summer, but PCM keeps saying there is no update. (also MY 2020)
I take it out of privacy mode every couple weeks to check if the update is available ... but nothing so far, pretty much gave up on it but...
I think its still silly almost every car manufacturer does its own thing.
For electric bicycles most manufacturers use a Bosch motor (different types to choose from), a Bosch battery-pack (different sizes to choose from) and a Bosch screen/computer ... super easy to get parts even 10 years...
Probably just to comply with some new law.
Legal team goes "hey, in order to legally cover our ass we now need to make this and this data available to the owners"
IT team goes "ok, we'll just dump a bunch of data in files that nobody is ever going to read anyway"
Compliance team goes "ok, we're...
so it took 24 hours until the files were ready to download ... for mine they contain no information at all:
Category Intelligent Charging Functions - Historic null: Error occurred
Category Vodafone Other Properties null: No data available in the selected time span
Category Online Remote Update...
Have you tried charging at different/public AC chargers, like 10kw ones?
Maybe with a different cable?
I once had similar issues while charging at work, it would stop randomly, sometimes show red, charging not possible, since we changed the cable and wall-charger I've never had issues again...
