Weird. I use MFG around my neck of the woods and my PCS card is recognized. I like to use them because their gear usually delivers high charge currents.
I believe you. But then you are an indicator that the problem is not caused by the PCM overloading with data. Even navigation at your end of the country should not overload the PCM - roads around Bath are far and few between. Alternatively, of course, you could take away from my visits that...
I was down in Bath (outside Bristol) a few months ago - no problem at all. Charger density out there is VERY low (Bath does not have one HPC) so that it is hard to see the PCM overloading. Ditto around M25 - no problems. Nowhere near the density of chargers you find around Benelux.
The design dates back to an era where you had to search hi and lo to find a HPC. In our present time, it makes zero sense to show charge points away from your route when you are spoiled for choice along that route.
I missed another trick. Where do I specify that, please? (I have a hazy...
I clearly must pay more attention. How does this work? I just jumped into the car to check - there is an option to save something as a favourite but how do I navigate from favourite to favourite? Do you mean like you only ask the thing to plan to the next stop, never planning the full route?
Alright. Inspired by recent demands from my various offspring to help with household moves, I expended some grey cells on the problem discussed and wish to share with this community the awesome solution I came up with in the interest of road safety. The solution kills two birds with one stone...
Ahhhh! Thanks!! I cannot find the filter for 1. But I found your Option panel by clicking on the icon next to each stop. To see the magic slider. Will try this out. 👍
EDIT: The warning is probably fair. The hard selection of a charging stop does prejudice the freedom of the nav to select...
Wow. 70C is unreal. But I was just going to reply to @ferdiaz that "close attention" should not be required. Preconditioning (however erroneous) stops the moment you connect the charge plug. With a battery exceeding 45C, the fans should run like a jet engine. You cannot miss the noise.
The lower the SOC on arrival, the higher the battery temp will be from the exertion of finding those last electrons to propel you along your way. That said, I have not seen a reading of 50C. Not even in 35C ambient (while charging the car with 240kW).
That conforms with my experience.
That seems high. It may or may not be the Charge Planner, depending on the SOC at arrival. As I commented elsewhere, on long journeys I see low temperatures only at the first charge stop. Beyond that first charge, temperatures never drop again (much) from...
You mean in the app. Does that do anything useful? I have planned my route sometimes in the app, followed by Send (to car). But while the car acknowledged receipt of my destination, it always redid the route planning from scratch. Have you witnessed it respecting your app favourites?
Same here. And on a most recent long round-trip, my nav often crashed on the way out and not once on the way back. Only difference I could tell was that I had received lots of map updates on the outbound leg, none on the leg back. (Thinking about it - since it never crashed on the way back...
Lucky you. 10 more than all chargers other than FastNed would give me. It is more often the charger than the car that limits the current. You only really know that it is the car when next to you there is someone else getting more. Wasn't the case on my trip. At Q8 in Aater, there were 20...
I don't know. Yes, perhaps at the first stop. Though, as many post here, not preconditioning ain't cost you more than 10 mins. After the first stop, that battery never dropped below 38C (in ambient 0C) as I hammered the car thru Benelux. (I love FastNed.)
