  1. Refurbished air schock absorbers

My Taycan is a MY22. And all my previous BMWs periodically needed new air springs. Their rubber ages and becomes brittle. Price you pay for a magic carpet ride. (I read some Chinese company was achieving a comparable ride with magnetic springs - if true, might eliminate the need for air springs.)
  2. Refurbished air schock absorbers

I am talking of two things: 1 my expectation that these shocks will die on me soon (you contradicted in thread linked; OP seems to support); 2 *my* (extended) warranty (which, following your logic, should cough up; I however doubt will).
  3. Refurbished air schock absorbers

@prj https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/air-suspension-problems.32313/#post-491564 Evidence that Porsche is no different from BMW? To my mind, it is in the nature of the beast (material). Would certainly love to learn if anyone managed to get (extended) Porsche warranty to pay up for a...
  4. Refurbished air schock absorbers

Thanks. Great to know. What age were the old ones you replaced?
  5. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Nothing new about it. The infotainment was always the first thing to age. My 1999 BMW had a built-in car phone. That was cool when it rolled off the production line... Well, naturally. How could it be any other way? The art would be to optimize software to respect those limitations. I...
  6. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

I am not convinced that anything is "faulty". My feeling is that everything works per the original design, but that that original design is today overwhelmed by the huge number of charging stations (your "Old"). This may seem like sophistry but, as I wrote before, if it were merely a fault, I...
  7. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

@Matt-Taycan That is the same s/w version I have. Need to verify my h/w. (Unsure, though, whether that h/w id is a revision number or the unique serial number of our units.)
  8. WST2 OTA update

Park in a place with better connectivity for a bit?
  9. 12v battery software update recall

Yes, that. Scroll down to "Information". Trouble is, what you get there (or not) is configurable. You might not see the battery status. In that case, Home/Settings/Display/Cluster/Configurable info (or similar - don't recall). Select Battery status for one of four lines.
  10. 12v battery software update recall

It is not you. There is something faulty with your car. It could be a faulty 12V battery. It could be a faulty charger. Particularly with the evidence you just posted, I think a visit to a Porsche workshop is required. EDIT: Perhaps post on linked thread. It has good traction from some...
  11. Is Taycan heater as good as ICE heater?

That is my understanding. But, naturally, your drivetrain ain't gonna be particularly warm in 0C ambient. The car struggles to heat the battery.
  12. Taycan owners in Belgium? CT? EV fast charging in Belgium.

@Throb Noted Wetteren Zuid as POI to avoid. May I also nominate Q8 at Aalter? Stay clear. Took the bare minimum to roll on to Esso/ChargePoint Drongen Zuid. They advertise 300kW but weren't really willing to dish out more than 150. Still, 3x what Q8 made available. And at Esso/ChargePoint...
  13. Is Taycan heater as good as ICE heater?

I have not given that aspect any thought. There was an earlier post that stated that switching off ECO (which engages the heat pump) improved heater performance in cold temps. Perhaps the heat pump is the reason behind that observation. A heat pump begins to subtract value before the point at...
  14. 12v battery software update recall

That may be somewhat understandable when the engineers never expected the battery to drain in the first place since the HV battery would always top it up. There is something bigger going wrong in your circuitry than that battery.
  15. Is Taycan heater as good as ICE heater?

    @Bennachie *GummiPflege. Sounds good.
  16. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

@Matt-Taycan To recap, your Taycan is a J1.1 and Porsche (which service center?) installed a new PCM on warranty in response to your complaints about the nav? Can you tell us what software version that new PCM is on?
  17. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

I would say so. They will more likely find that more people cancel their PCS, which is a nice earner for them.
  18. 4S - Is all wheel drive better then rear wheel drive

"In ‘Normal’ mode, the drive distribution is designed for high efficiency and range. This means that rear-wheel drive is used as often as possible." https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/press-kits/the-new-porsche-macan/Fahrwerksysteme.html
  19. Is Taycan heater as good as ICE heater?

We all have this problem. I needed to resort to the manual to solve it. Select "Individual" in the air con settings, then icons appear at the bottom where you can select where air should flow. Turn off feet and chest so that all air is directed at the windscreen. You will now have to control...
  20. 4S - Is all wheel drive better then rear wheel drive

Does the 4S in Normal not do RWD only anyway?
