2027 Taycan gets E-Shift, larger battery and much more - new model year!

I am surprised by this update. I like what I read here. I like the paddles, the better sound and the cellphone tray. I hope these improvements land in the e Boxster.

Yet another electrical system error - ARB6 software in action?

I wonder if they are more likely to kick it when a car is out of the lemon law window?

Yet another electrical system error - ARB6 software in action?

I don’t blame you. I feel like many shops are genuinely not good at diagnosing and repairing HV faults. “Clear codes and hope” is the frequent first step.

"Porsche Reflects On Its First Electric Car: 'Timing Wasn't Ideal'" - article

100% with you. Sky-high price + massive depreciation is a bad combo. I would have ordered a new Targa last year (instead of the current 2025 Taycan GTS CPO) if they hadn't gone nuts with the pricing.

"Porsche Reflects On Its First Electric Car: 'Timing Wasn't Ideal'" - article

I agree, the prices have gotten absolutely absurd across their entire product line.

tire life, battery life, depreciation, and the small things

WIth a 2025 CPO, coupled with your use, you're probably going to hit 100K limit before you hit 6 inuse years. I don't know your current mileage, but I wouldn't worry too much; you have the latest generation with the best battery and fixes. You'll be fine for 4-5 years depending on current mileage.

Porsche Ordered to Buy Back Taycan That Charged at 9.6 kW, Not 11 kW

Except half the time if you bring it in when you're notified, they will tell you they can't service it yet.

Porsche Ordered to Buy Back Taycan That Charged at 9.6 kW, Not 11 kW

Now this I can understand. Porsche is very bad at servicing EVs in a timely fashion. After two months of that crap I sold my way out of it; I genuinely understand the feeling of frustration and loss of confidence in the car.

Porsche Ordered to Buy Back Taycan That Charged at 9.6 kW, Not 11 kW

Me either. Makes me think there was something else the OP didn't like about it. The difference between 11kW and 9.6kW is low, especially when considering overnight charging.

Here ya go. 23 GTS. Purchased 155k Nov 22. Sold Dec 25 with 26.5k for 75K.

are NF tyres really required to protect warranty?

No. Never once had a warranty claim challenged for using non-N-rated tires.

    Radar Detector Recommendations

Yes, it only works in the dotted area (and honestly, slightly less well than it does on non-thermal glass.)

    Underframe Damage

I damaged some of those "paperboard" coverings on my Targa. They were easily replaced ($2-300 IIRC). They checked for other damage while replacing and in my case found none. Be glad you hit these paperboard things and not the battery.

    Radar Detector Recommendations

It absolutely won't unless moving to one with embedded bumper sensors.

    Radar Detector Recommendations

The only thing to be aware of - if you have the thermal/noise glass, it blocks radar except in the dotted area at the top. I confirmed by going to a grocery store and comparing signal.
