OEM rim widths are 9"/11“ and 9.5“/11.5" 🙂
The latter uses 265/35 and 305/30....
The former 245/40 and 285/35 tyres....10% ish more sidewall in these, and the narrower width means better range. I think these would work on the rim sizes you have, but check with the vendor.
Not when your PCM has crashed you can't....
But it's nice to know you would be able to if it hadn' t because they invested the dev time 😁
(My PCM started with just nav crashing. It now freezes the whole thing when it's having a proper tizz).
I'd be matching Porsche rim widths and tyre sizes personally. Enough wear issues without going off piste!
J1.2 had the option of narrower rims and tyres which I believe had a big positive impact on range.
But as noted above, 20"s might be the way to go for "comfort".
I've also been nervous...
Check what s/w version you're running (there are images showing where on this thread and others).
Iirc early J1.2 cars had older s/w versions. The latest versions don't exhibit the issue, but to date Porsche won't put those later versions on J1.1 cars. They should do on J1.2.
I believe Chun...
4 door coupes are a relatively new affectation when companies like BMW and Audi wanted to find new ways of reaming customers with the same product/platform....
... Or wanted to give families with small kids an easier option for getting the kids in and out without them thinking they had to give...
Your profile picture looks like a J1.1 car....no?
I don't believe the crashing issues happen on J1.2 (as I think they have a later software revision that doesn't experience it).
My worry with wording like this is that they are spending time frigging things for J1.1 cars (restricting charge...
Height and weight aren't the only factors to consider unfortunately. We're all different size-wise...different length legs, back, arms, distribution of weight - calves, thighs, gut, chest, shoulders, arms etc etc.
I'm 1m 93cm and currently 105kgs...have been heavier. Have been lighter...
Fwiw OP, I wouldn't make any sort of thing of the replacement pack, other than a footnote maybe. Cars with "stories" are always harder to sell.
Nice idea though. Your 996 gets a new engine because of bore issues... Sell it and ask for more as the new engine must be more powerful 😁
UK dealers did this in 2022 when demand was through the roof and supply limited.
Comedy central doing it now. Unless someone really, really wants Yacht Club Blue (!).
I just had mine done at a local place (UK, North Essex).
A kerbed and bent wheel, properly stripped back and powder coated was £125. I think straightening it out cost something like £30-£40 of the total.
Will post some photos over the next few days - only just had them done and haven't had...
I do make use of the app, but also wish they'd focus on the car's software.
Being able to connect to wifi hotspots would be a far more useful way to spend development cycles than arsing around with coloured themes!
Warranty won't cover brakes.
And most normal people aren't spending £160k+ on a car 🙂
Sadly, time and again we see the contempt with which they treat customers.
