Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) failure at 4 years 1 month causes expensive repairs

I'm sure there's a thread on here where shoes have disintegrated and I think dealers picked up the tab. If the car's been serviced by them from new, I would be going down the "so this can go from fine to causing £10k damage between services?" avenue. When the cheeky feckers tell me my tyres...

    2024 GTS mapping issue

It's not model specific. https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/eu-uk-ongoing-navigation-issues.28704/page-77#post-539073 It is specific to the first gen cars. Fix allegedly due later in the year, maybe from June according to some, but no official confirmation.

    Difference NF0, NF1 and NF2 tyres

If you're ever worried about being given old stock, ask for the date marker on the tyres. They have a 4 digit code. First two are the week in the year of manufacture, second two the year. You'll be able to see these on your current tyres if interested 🙂

How did you program your 🔹buttons?

Sports sound on the wheel (may change to cameras having read here 🙂). HUD on the dash. To pick up on a couple of others...you all may already know these but... "next track" - if you have "Media" in the right-hand tube...click (push) the right wheel scrolling button. As long as you aren't...

This dude is really ambitious - I bought a wrecked Porsche Taycan (restoration project).

And the rest for the most prolific. There are a couple now repairing Veyrons, SF90s, McLaren P1s and on the face of it making a fortune. Feels like some are latching onto a trend....

Is everyone rebuilding accident damaged cars on YouTube now?

    Best home charger?

I've been using the Porsche one that came with the car for 2.5yrs. Works great and doesn't get cheaper than that.

    EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues

Rest easy everyone.... I no longer care about my PCM crashing because I can change themes on MyPorsche. I can put a widget on my phone and the app now also tells me how picturesque Brentwood and Billericay (Essex, UK. Not the prettiest parts) are (they probably put the PCM programmer on that...

Update: the recall completed all brake and hose servicing.

Why skip it if you're going to fret? Personally I wouldn't skimp on safety critical stuff like the brakes. Go and get it serviced.

Tire Pressure Recommendation Change after Rear Camera Recall Update Performed

Higher pressures help avoid the corners of the tyres wearing out when the rest of the tread is fine. Mine are in the 40s now on dealer advice. (40/44 IIRC).

    EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues

It would be nice for that to happen. The cynic in me suggests this is taking so long as they are busy unpicking the improvements they made on the J1.2...so all the display updates, charge plan tweaks, cosmetic items like ambient lighting tweaks etc won't be there :)

Found a good use for the center console phone charger 😜

I have an S23 ultra and that also works fine, even in a case.

    Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6

Hankook ion Evo work really well on a Taycan. Not N rated in J1.1 21" Spyder sizes but don't let that put you off. And not the all season version. Quiet, grip well, wear well. Possibly a slight improvement in range (but not empirically tested). Have also used them in low temps and they...

Winter Tyres Dilemma: Seeking Advice on Taycan Wheels

When your Goodyears are up, try Hankook Ion Evos. Better in every way than the Goodyears IME.

So, has there really been no credible news…

Now that sounds like fun :D I have a soft spot for minis having had one as my first car - mine was a Clubman estate. I worked for a car spares place so it ended up GT spec performance wise. I was once stopped by the police at 3am, 7 up - giving mates a lift home from a nightclub and wanting...

"Xiaomi Updates Its SU7 EV Just Two Years After Launch, and Reviewers Say It’s Better in Every Way" - article

I bet there's a switch that allows the spoiler to be up all the time. Does it look that radically different to an all black Taycan saloon...? Perhaps a bit taller/narrower? The lower valance area looks cleaner IMO...

Hancook iON evo AS all season tires good but hard to find

IMO (IME) unless snow and ice are a consideration, and/or regular use in very low temps, I'm not sure anyone *needs* anything other than the srd ones.

App to trigger battery preconditioning by sending a dummy HPC destination – does this already exist?

What temp was the battery when you arrived at the Ionity station? I've had a mix of speeds at public charge points and I think there are also external factors that can impact the speed you get (eg how many other vehicles are at the charge station overall).
