I'll preface this by saying that I'm a long time Lotus fan and Elise owner.
Styling looks very uninspired here. Totally agree on the launch execution comment also.
I really want this to be good, but have my doubts
Picking mine up today after a 5 week stay at the dealer.
According to them:
- 4.5 weeks to receive the part
- 1.5 days to fit
They have 4 more behind me. I guess the techs are going to be experienced at doing this swap
Kind of. It has a GPS and alerts them of speed. They've phoned me three times so far! ?
My commute is 12 miles freeway and it's killing me because I hit the limit before the end of the on-ramp.
But I learnt that they don't phone on Sunday
Dropped off on Jan 24th. Dealer said part has shipped from Germany, but no date for pick-up yet.
Driving a loaner Macan with a 75mph speed limit is getting to be a drag.
Ah yes, I see. Very interesting to see these different use cases.
BTW - my Mum lives in a small coastal village near Caldas de Rainha, north of Lisbon. Beautiful area
Nice scenario - I like your logical thinking.
In the 9 months I've owned a Taycan what I actually see is that I've only charged outside of my home 4 times - and they were on trips between cities.
The reality (for me at least) is that I charge overnight at home and know that I'll have enough...
As someone that has issued hundreds of Press Releases, I can tell you that they should not be used as an authority of technical definitions. i.e. the premise of the OP that just because a Press Release says it, that it must be true is flawed.
Clearly a personal opinion. For what it's worth...
I visited the factory in Japan last year they make these LEDs - company is called Nichia. Amazing tech honestly.
(I'm in a different part of the LED industry - but exciting times for us)
Dropped mine at the Dealer yesterday. Told me they have fixed 6 others.
Confirmed today that they have ordered a new heater and to expect 2-3 weeks.
Loaned me a Macan for the duration
