  1. New Rival: AMG GT - 4 Door Coupe - 1169hp

I should rephrase to "it looks better en basically any color that is not the lime green one". Tech is impressive. Looking forward to see it IRL.
  2. New Rival: AMG GT - 4 Door Coupe - 1169hp

The configurator is now online for the AMG. Starting price is mid way between a Taycan 4S and GTS here in Denmark - The MB with a lot more standard equipment. It looks a lot better in black.
  3. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues

The service center continues to impress. I managed to get hold of them on the phone. I talked to the person I had an email conversation going with that seemed to remember nothing about it. But he quickly said "I can book it in for an update". So, mid June mine is going in. Fingers crossed that...
  4. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues

While not admitting that this is the case my service rep asked this morning "Do you have a picture of the navigation failing". I actually had one from when I opened the case a few months ago. Let's see what happens from here.
  5. 2027 Taycan info?

Well, bye bye Porsche. The Taycan is a great car (with it's flaws). And since Porsche have no other options if you hate SUV's, killing the Taycan would mean that I surely would buy something else. A shame if true but absolutely no surprise.
  6. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues

My service center refuses to call back. Today I got an email that "There is an OTA update available that will go to your car automatically". This was after Connect support had asked them to perform the update. On the positive side the navigation did not reboot when I tested it today. But it did...
  7. BMS SOH (84%) vs. Independent AVILOO Flash (91%)

I have found the internal BMS SoH wildly varying. If you recalibrate it following the procedure mentioned many places on these forums it will most likely jump up to something close to what the aviloo test shows. Mine dropped to around 85 and after calibration it's back up to 91. This is by the...
  8. 2026 J1.2 - Can’t add innodrive after purchase anymore???

I've had the same issue when looking at J1.2. Not many have that option unfortunately. Honestly I only want ALK as Innodrive is pretty useless for me but with my current car that was an option I could purchase separately via FoD. At least here in Europe it is still available as off today on...
  9. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues

Seems like they are slowly propagating the same story to dealers as well. When they updated my PCM software two months ago to address the issue (which it didnt) they said that next step was to replace the PCM. This week when in for service they said the same as in the message shown here -...
  10. So, has there really been no credible news…

Are they just sitting there and blocking chargers?! :D Looks exactly like the one I met at a Porsche Charging lounge last summer. But at least they are still doing something with the model since they still test it.
  11. What Happens To Us After 8 Years? (When battery warranty expires)

There will probably be options as there is many of the cars on the road. But we could hope that many of the failures at that point have shown and been addressed while the cars are in warranty.
  12. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues

That is very curious. I had my nav updated to 3885 6 weeks ago and it had been fine ever since. Last week we had a longer trip (350km) where I used the nav with no issues. Then when I tried monday morning it immediately started crashing after a few minutes. And now it's back to being...
  13. Exceptional charging performance, or just the Taycan norm?

Looks good - And to be expected on the Tacan. If you start with a low SoC and right temp of the battery that is the charge curve you can expect. By far the most common limiting factor when charging is the chargers ability to deliver. Especially when the stations are busy they throttle heavily...
  14. 2027 Taycan Turbo GT by Manthey spotted on the ‘Ring

But is it really motor and batteries that hold the car back? I think there is many other systems that they should import before that. It would be sad but I guess it's possible. As someone that would never buy and ICE car as a daily driver again it would effectively rule out buying another...
  15. New Taycan Owner in Australia

Welcome and congratulations on the new car. I've had mine for 3 years now and it has no question been the best car I have ever owned. Even though it has its quirks and a good warranty is advisable (although I have not used it on mine yet). Have fun :)
  16. Has anyone changed the Allen bolts on the steering wheel switches?

I think it's the same wheel on 911 - Here is what it looks like: https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/sku992swtrim.html
  17. Cayenne EV First-Drive Reviews Are Here

I agree and I do like the design. SUV's are super popular so it makes perfectly sense. It's just not for me :)
  18. Cayenne EV First-Drive Reviews Are Here

Exactly, and the same for the Macan. My wife's response was literally "It looks like every other SUV". Would be nice to see the same tech transfer to the Taycan soon but guess that is just a dream.
  19. 2027 BMW i3 EV Sedan Revealed (440 Miles Range, 463 HP / 476 LB-FT)

I like the specs. But literally all other German car manufacturers have now realized that people prefer physical buttons and are finally reverting their designs. Except BMW that now moves to all touch :D - VW have just announced that physical buttons will come back this MY for all ID cars -...
  20. [March 2026 Update] - Porsche's ONLY OTA update hobbles North American Taycans to max 9.6 kW charge rate…

I guess I was not thorough enough reading it ;) Having observed my car charging today I and mine did eventually end up showing matching values between car and charger later during the charge. Well, Porsche continues to impress - and not in a positive way.
