Seriously? Jag & Lambo do not offer an EV.
Jaguar do the I-Pace which is an all electric SUV, I was wrong about Lambo, no idea where I got that info from.

It was a genuine question because I drove a brand new Cayenne last week but it was a hybrid and it wasn’t a “fun” drive, it felt no different to any other large SUV. I know the electric version is a different car so was wondering if the USP of it is an engaging drive.

Exactly, and the same for the Macan. My wife's response was literally "It looks like every other SUV".

Would be nice to see the same tech transfer to the Taycan soon but guess that is just a dream.
I think that’s a smart move by Porsche.

Too many EV manufacturers made their cars too crazy looking and ended up going ugly.

Taycan looks like a mix between a Panamera and 911. Macan and Cayenne EVs look like a Macan and Cayenne.

I agree and I do like the design. SUV's are super popular so it makes perfectly sense. It's just not for me :)

Interesting how similar the interior is to a 2020 Taycan. Even the steering wheel seems to come from the same parts bin.

Just adding my 2 cents on driving the Lotus Eletre as I saw some comments - if I'm not mistaken it's not 250K€, rather 170-180 (France), I drove it 1h a good year ago when I was comparing the hybrid GLC, Q6/Q8 e-Tron and Xpeng G9, my assessment was :

Pros
Premium feeling : good quality materials, +1 vs Mercedes/Audi for example, similar to my Porsche Taycan
"Relaxed" Spirit in the cabin : really a good feeling when you step inside, there's a lot of room and I like the overall use of space, it's more what the Chinese would do but really classy & "zen".
Space : definitely lots of space, as much as my former Xpeng G9 Performance
Multimedia : good systems 1 level below Tesla/Xpeng, but still good
Car handling : overall good even if a little "heavy" feeling

Cons :
Multimedia : no passenger screen and no streaming (could have been cool to have it on the LCD display behind for kids)
Far too expensive vs competition : Q6 full spec was 125K€, hybrid GLC was 115K€, G9 Perf 78K€ - the GLC was the best compromise doing everything pretty good but I chose at the time the G9P because it was an incredible price/spec/confort ratio (very very confortable but don't expect it to do anything sports-oriented :) )

Comparatively, the Lotus Emeya I drove recently keeps the same "pros", is fun to drive even though still slithly heavy, and is more reasonably priced.
If someone wanted to swap it against my Taycan Turbo I'd probably say "yes" mainly for the comfort (I still prefer the Taycan when driving in a spirited way!)

Nice car, but my concern is that its gonna repeat Taycan‘s fate in losing 50% of its value in 2-3 years. Way too expensive on the cooling EV market and range not as impressive as the one in iX3 etc

The onboard charger grenades on the Polestar about every 6 weeks then you wait two months for replacement.
Porsche has a great track record with on board chargers though!

Sorry, had to say it :D

I played with the build for a turbo Cayenne, over $225k, then did a mock 2 year lease to see the residual and it was about $110k so you’re not wrong here.

The iX3 is the smart choice in terms of range, price, internal room, and so much more. Will be even better when the 2027 iX60 version comes out. But I cannot personally cope with its looks. Hope others can.

Do people shopping for 1100 horsepower vehicles care about things like “range?”

Seems as silly of a concept as comparing fuel efficiency of a Ferrari vs a Lamborghini. 🤷‍♂️

Exactly ! I don't care since according to several reviews already, you get ~400km on highway at 130km/h and you're charging @400kwh with a medium value of ~280kwh on the 10-90%.
ie the advertised 600-650km WLTP on mixed cycle is probably true, which would be enough as far as I'm concerned.
To ensure max comfort/range I'd probably give up the beautiful painted 21/22" wheels (sic, I love these on my T Turbo Mission E) and stick to the 20" with PAR of course.
The S @660hp seems like a good compromise.

@prj are you planning to offer tunning for the Cayenne EV?

I see you aren't for the Macan EV. Would have imagined it's the same or similar control module.

They have lost the plot. They used to make cars everybody wanted… now they are making cars nobody wants. Well done Porsche.
