Huh? It appears that the numbers are actually incorrect. SMH. "IF" was indeed the right wording.
"Previously, the Taycan’s standard battery pack had 71 kWh usable capacity (79.2 kWh total) and the Performance Battery Plus offered 83.7 kWh usable (93.4 kWh total)"...
lol. Who hurt you? It's not personal. You tried to make a point that the Taycan sales decline despite the evolution to J1.2 indicated that a Tesla revamp would not have increased sales. I merely pointed out that that's not a good data point and claim given many other concurrent factors.
Moving...
The point is that that view is an opinion, no matter how emphatic the capital letters. The Taycan reduction is not supportive data, given the other factors at play. There are other opinions that suggest a Model S refresh would have increased sales.
Opinions, opinions, but no A/B scenario to...
2 points that quite invalidate this as a valid rebuttal...
1) From what we know of the market, so many other factors came into play. - EV tech evolution, Chinese innovation, US disruption, that to say it is tanking despite the J1.2 improvement is hardly a complete statement
2) J1.2 vs J1.1 is...
I think most people who have considered a Taycan have considered the Tesla Model S. It pioneered the industry, and is a very competitive alternative as a product alone (setting aside the politics for a minute).
The space, technology, and value for money have been uniquely compelling (until now...
There were forum threads on a 3D printed part. It looked to me to be the cleanest solution. Partially because it didn't involve any real drilling and also because it was centered (I prefer the symmetry)
Good for you. I called the local dealerships and they're all initially denying this will be covered under warranty. If you do recall any explanation they gave you, please do share. Thanks.
I guess I'm not the only one that had this happen. Just saw this thread too with 2 others.

Bah, I just had the same thing happen. Except mine was in a temperature controlled, secured garage for about 2 weeks, so temperature was not a factor.
I just posted it here and then noticed this on a search...
It looks like the point of where it's spreading from is below the exposed window and inside the door...
I wonder if it's because of the issues these double paned windows have in general (other threads and my experience getting stuck moving up and down)
Anyone else experience this? My drivers window glass seems to have cracked spontaneously. It's the thermal / noise insulated double paned glass.
It was tinted 5 years ago by first owner and the work is good.
The car was just sitting in a temperature controlled secured garage under a cover for...
Thank you for the response! I'll look into whether mine had the software update for the brakes.
After my extended warranty, I'll look into the MapEV as well. I know it hasn't been an issue so far, but my risk aversion is high with this car! 😀
@Avantgarde (or others),
Do you remember what was done to your car to update it? My (new to me) 2020 4S feels like it has spongy brakes and also a lag on acceleration, and I'd love it to feel more precise. I'm wondering what updates I can check for.
Thanks in advance
Congrats on the new car!
To your question... Are you accounting for the time to charge, get familiar with a new charging system, the inevitability of something not going to plan, etc.? It's fun to figure all that out if you have time to do so.
Otherwise, it's fun to figure out a new car with...
Do people leave their OBD-II connected scanner on? or attach-read-detach?
I got one, did my CarScanner readings, but took it off and wondered if I could just leave it on.
I unfortunately don't have specific insight you asked for, but my first instinct is to tell you to run. If the manufacturer and the dealer don't want to fix this before selling it to you, they must believe it's not a cost/time efficient fix. And you have to ask yourself if you want to start with...
