I don’t understand your rabid-ness about the phone-key thing. Your original point was that VAG was behind in software-based features, and they may be heading for a market share drop. I agree with that. You also chose to focus on a single feature, phone-as-key, which frankly a lot of poeple...
Can anyone with a MY25 order or delivery access an updated Owner’s manual via app or website login? It’d be great to file host the PDF version of that somewhere. The only manuals publicly online are the same ‘20 and ‘21 manuals that’ve been around a long time.
For now I prefer key fobs. I’ve been using them since the ‘80’s. I have never lost or broken a fob, nor had the battery die on me while away from home. Seems like all modern fobs have a key hidden inside and feature a way to enter and start the car even with dead fob battery.
Hopelessly...
Is remote park still unavailble because of the broken app?
My understanding from some demo video or post (which I cannot now locate) was that for in-car auto-parking, you can modulate the speed of the maneuvering with the brake pedal, as long as you don’t brake so much as to bring the car to a...
I believe something is not clear here and less than step by step instructions.
If balancing happens after charging, then are the steps?:
Drive until charge is down to 10-15%
connect briefly to charger to trigger start of balancing?
disconnect from charger and let sit overnight
charge to 100%...
I use compact 2 TB USB SSD’s to take my music to cars. The most modern car I have is the 2014 M5, and it can do spotify off my phone controled through I-Drive but I don’t use that, or any phone based apps as the integration requires plugging in and that’s too much bother for me. I like having...
Picture #4, the turbo aero wheels.
My strategy is to get the reasonable looking, comfortable, and less vulnerable 20” OEM Turbe Aero wheels, and save my money in case I need better performance on aftermarket 21”’s, because I don’t really like any of the OEM 21” wheels and $4k - $5k is...
If you click the color and dismiss the color chooser so you can see the car rendering, you can read at the very bottom which other models have that color available. For example, mintgrun is available also on 718 and 911 as PTS. Strange that some standard colors are listed as PTS colors for...
I’m not familiar with Race-tex feel, but I have the opposite problem, which is that I am narrow and even with the bolsters closed in all the way on my 545i or M5, I still slide or roll slightly from side to side in canyons with lots of constant opposite turns. My recollection is that the 18-way...
Yeah, I never even considered doing the wheel wells on my Corvette, the big wins were the doors (two different materials), the floor, the vertical wall behind the seats, and definately the big trunk that the C6 had (two different insulation materials + heavy carpet mat). I think you’ll feel you...
The build sheet says the launch vehicle was ordered in January, before the announcement that Active Ride was even offered. That vehicle not arriving in US until June, so it may be a long time until any Taycan so equipped will be available for inspection since the first wave appears to all be...
I am not interested in hearing about Active Ride on Panamera. From the very get-go at the Taycan .II launch, it was noted that Active Ride on the Taycan was further refined, and in particular the lateral leaning and fore/back “helicoptering” toned down from that in Panamera, as reviewers and...
Haven’t actually seen ANY reviews, seems like nobody’s press car really had it or if so, that they had anything other than pre-written verbage to include. I would like to see some actual comparison reviews, preferably driving the same bad road on both.
This is a great spec! Mine would be very similar in a sedan, with Atacama Beige also. I will probably use one of the interior options to cancel out the neodym interior bits because I am on the fence about the color but it looks good either way. Good job picking up all the driver assists and...
While regen braking (not overrun recuperation) may have some stopping power, it probably cannot be triggered once all the fluid is gone. Regardless of low speed or not. It’s not that the level of regen braking is insufficient. The problem is that once the fluid is gone so is Taycan’s ability...
That must have been very frightening and glad everyone was safe.
The thing all Taycan drivers should try to remember in case of a failure emergency is that the emergency brake (regen only, does not use conventional brakes, is intended for conventional brake failure) is:
hold the P button to...
Ha Ha, Porsche has a real problem on their hands. No Taycan has turbos. And all 911’s now have turbos.
So, which models should get the Turbonite paint? ?
