The OP is full of conjecture about Porsche’s plans, future Taycan buying activity and other factors, for which there is no actual factual evidence to support.
If you want to upgrade to a .II, do so. Don’t spin yourself a web of self-deceit that the new one won’t have typical luxury sedan...
I have had and still have a few ViAirs, though the particular model I have is no longer for sale (90P I think). Mine all power off 12V cig lighter outlets, so I use a 120-to-12V supply off Amazon for use in the garage so I don’t have to have the ignition on to use it. Mine look similar to the...
Yes, I tried this before I wrote my response. Last years’ still worked. Pricing included. I don’t know why mine works and your does not. I guess it isn’t as reliable a resource as I thought. I see how the color is missing in yours. Mine all had colors still offered, or PTS. But the...
Right, but you don’t need the current active live configurator to view the specs of any past Porsche code. I have all the codes from all the play models I spec’ed in what was then the active configurator over the last year or two. They still work. I believe the code references a build spec...
Because several posts above reference buying unsold new .I’s off dealer lots, or CPO’ed. You don’t need the current active live configurator for that.
Sure, it’s technically feasible to assemble all the variants if you have all the parts on-hand, or stall the production until they are. But...
Perhaps many of you are not understanding the full weirdness of the situation. You can still ORDER a .I on the configurator, in addition to the .II.
The implication is that the assembly line is agile enough to build either the refresh or not. I’m not sure why a car company would want to do that.
The two exterior package options on the US Turbo+ configurator do this:
Sport Design Package in Carbon Fiber
Sport Design Package in High Gloss
The picture is too blurry to figure. It looks too flat to be gloss black, but doesn’t really look like CF either.
I’m ok with the new front Turbo...
Ssshhhh.. I know this one place on Woodside that sells 110 octane racing electrons. It’s PERFECT for Taycan TURBOs running higher turbo boost than stock.
Seemed to me like the main takeaway was that the press junket to Spain was nice. Nobody really said anything interesting that we didn’t already know. One review noted some kind of glitch in the rear steering software. That was interesting.
This whole rollout is proceeding awfully slow. Is...
Simplifying, I think this means 50%. Isn’t it the same for 4 year old high spec Teslas what with the discounting on new Telsas that dropped their resale value?
Maybe I am misrembering, but I thought there was a flurry of posts about glass roofs cracking spontaneously, some soon after delivery. Something about uneven pressure being exerted on the glass from the fit or the installation. And the cost is higher with the adjustable tint glass.
As to...
See, this is why I wasn’t able to break down and buy any of the dealer demonstrators last autumn, even the rare loaded ones in colors other than white. They all had that glass roof, and already Derek had been posting about glass breakage. I don’t even find the idea of a glass roof attractive...
If you’d searched and read about this feature you would understand that LKA is only meant to prevent lane excursion. When you near the edge lane marker, and sustantial steering input is generated to steer the car immediately away from crossing over that the line in the opposite direction...
The logo seems to be standard in the States on the refresh. I believe you can get rid of it by choosing the ”delete model designation” no-cost option. It drops off the configurator images when I do that.
Good luck with this. I had the same problem with my Corvette the first week, and GM denied a warranty issue. I can see their thinking, which is that once it leaves the dealership, they don’t know what you’ve done to it, so why should they warranty it? You could be sticking your knee in there...
I don’t know. Applied Intuition (AI, you did get that, right?) is an ADAS/AD company. Porsche is not really about Automated Driving so I don’t know what value is that, although the ADAS (driver aids) (including self parking) definitely needs work.
CI should have been in place long ago. I’m...
@redshift-performance , I realize they may not want to speculate, but do the developers have any estimate based on the J1.I how long after .II models are available to them that they might be able to estimate what, if anything, is possible on the refresh Taycan?
