You guys can laugh at this, but it’s not funny. When even stupid Toyota ads show a silly smile faced girl pushed back in her seat from EV acceleration (“zoomified” as the ad says), the fun days of EVs are surely numbered. Horrific accidents will be more commonplace as the stupidity with which...
There’s a Porsche writeup about PSCB introduction for Cayenne that mentions something like 6k km necessary to polish them up, so possibly longer on the Taycan with regen brakes.
The 0-60 mph LC time is a useful background, but it isn’t what people aren’t looking to compare. It’s the NON-LC 0-60 mph time before and after. Another way to look at it is 5-60, since you can’t use LC for that. The point is to unlock the full boost so that is available fulltime without any...
A couple of observations about the PDFs:
- It says that the 12V battery must be charged every 8 weeks, which directly contradicts the widespread belief on this forum that the 12V battery is automagically charged from the HV battery when it needs it. It sounds like the 12V battery is not...
I looked over the website.
The Bridge is the device that actually interfaces with the car to get the driver inputs to control what the sound mixture and volume. The other parts are obviously the speakers.
I played all the available sounds and looked at what passes as the “composer”. I didn’t...
High levels of stimulation feedback (aka noise) seems to be an integral part of the Ferrari formula, hence it was natural they would go that route In the face of impeding electrification.
This was answered in post #33 of this thread. Currently you have to buy a new ECU and get it programmed and/or coded at the dealer before it will work.

It’s funny, I’ve waited my whole life for a “car from the future” which would be silent, and I have yet to buy it. I too have come to realize that some audible feedback would be useful on fast runs to keep informed about the speed of the car, and perhaps also could be a way to indicate...
Performance package has dropped off my configurator, I believe the features are now often standard on models with some perhaps needing seperate adding. On the Turbo, the performance package features are all now standard I believe.
From what I’ve seen, Porsche hasn’t done much since the Feb J1.II refresh announcement/launch. I don’t hear about many people getting allocations or placing order, and my dealer still isn’t giving me one. It seems to me like Porsche’s core customers for bad ass limited edition track toys...
Back in the day of the C6 Corvette 15 years ago, a couple reputable CorvetteForum members reported getting calls on the OnStar system from OnStar operators who berated them for driving too fast.
The first was a driver who went to a deserted stretch of road in rural Canada to do a high speed run...
Exactly. I find it disturbing that only so few nations uphold this ban, and Porsche couldn’t be bothered until the cars arrived and weren’t admitted to the US.
